People that hate Yasuo because of some stereotype

Here's the thing, starting to flame in champ select because I like one champion is not going to make me play better, to the contrary is going to make me play worse. I'm somebody that suffers from anxiety issues, and unfortunately can't handle pressure that well. I can mute when the game begins, but I can't do nothing in champ select, where the flaming usually starts.

Many people out there immediately judge us Yasuo mains as flamers and feeders, because of some stereotype that YOU created, but even if we are trash, you are similar or even worse, because you flame just as much, and even go so far as banning your teammates own pick out of pure hatred, and you have no right denying one person's fun, just because you hate a fictional character in a video game.

I just want to play my favourite champion in peace, without having to deal with all the hatred that some people have for him.

I'm writing this because of my last game, this rakan kept flaming me from champ select, and I got nervous, that combined with the lag spikes that I was having made me play like shit, and going 0/5 in a few minutes, that culminated in a loss. Yes I played poorly, but I shouldn't be hated because of it, nor should I be hated because I like to play a character.

My apologies for any mistakes in my text, english is not my mother tongue.

Yasuo players typcically fit in one of two categories. One: they are just awful (like 1/12/3 awful) and flame their entire team because they are not catering to them. Two: They dominate hard and act like they are some kind of mesiah, rubbing it in the faces of the opponents and demanding praise. If they get shut down, they flame their team for either getting in the way or not bodyguarding well enough.

This isn't as big a problem as yasuo mains make it out to be, but i see you are fuelled in writing this by a recent bad experience. Everybody flames, yas players actually aren't too bad with that but they usually feed or wreck so people end up hating them. Feast or famine champs raise hate.

I hate this stereotype. I’m learning how to use riven atm and as soon as my teammates discovered that they got angry at me, for no reason?? I think that I’m a pretty nice person, before I start a match I say “gl hf! :D”, and say supportive things to my teammates ingame. What angers me is they judge me for what champion I play. I have a great friend who mains yasuo, but he doesn’t go solo que because of how angry people get. One time I que up with him and we were planning to do knockup combos (this was a normal draft) and our teammates banned yasuo AND riven just because. He ended up feeding because he isn’t that good at many other mid lane champions. I feel like it isn’t fair that some champions are immediately labeled as “toxic”

Most people are not mechanically capable of piloting Yasuo properly. Too often they care about the big plays and forget about how to actually play the game.

It was literally the Yasuo mains that created it. Whatever delusions you have, it is irrelevant to experiences of many. You claim people shouldn't deny others fun, but literally it is not fun for many people to have Yasuo in the game on either team. I've had nothing but horrible experiences and some of the worst toxic people that int in ranked or just plain throw the game because they didn't get the only champ they can get a kill on. Yasuo used to and still is sometimes an oppressive early snowball champion with an ability that removes other people's fun every 20 seconds that can just feed and still be powerful.

Then since he's such a binary champion you have champions that dumpster Yasuo so now you get flamed for feeding.

If you really care about your anxiety so much, stop playing that champ.

For someone who's English is not their first language, you type it very well. Also, I don not know how to really help you, because that is a very tilting experience for someone to ban a champ you very much enjoy playing. All I can say is get used to it because that is the environment of league of legends. Sorry if I sound mean but eventually you'll become mentally strong enough to ignore the flamers and loser keyboard warriors.

WholeHeartedly agree. Made a thread asking people to stop flaming Yasuo players. Got downvoted into oblivion

think ive figure out the core of why Yasuo is so Annoying, its his passive shield and ability to just sit on your face and just 2X Q you then knock you up leaving little room to react. Riot has stated that it can be unhealthy for melee champions to ONLY be about getting on a target and sticking to them no matter what to deal damage, thats why recent melee champions have been given ways to encourage them to his at a distance. Yasuo can and will stick as close as he can to a target to damage them, and his 3rd Q, in addition to E affords him the stickiness he needs. If his 3rd Q encouraged him to move back to get the most out of it it would offer opponents a chance to breathe against the slew of not only damage but CC and defense that he can put up.

Ive come up with some appropriate changes

Yasuo: 3rd Q only knocks up a little or not at all at close range and more at max range. R deals damage based on the amount of time the targets have spent in the air. Basically the higher they get knocked up the more damage it deals. Yay more skill!

Another reason Yasuo feels unfair IS the amount of defense he has for the damage he can put out. His passive shield is especially annoying for a few reasons, unlike other champions he doesn't have to cast abilities (that normally cost something) or hit enemy champion to charge it, he just has to move which can be considered uninteractive since the opponent doesn't get to do anything about it. Also it doesn't feel skillful for the Yasuo player to get the shield, all he has to do is move around, now sure you can move around alot to charge it at the last second IF there are enough units near by...but does is moving around using E or right clicking REALLY all that skillful? Not only that but if a Good Yasuo player IS moving around using E or moving they can ALSO use that to dodge skillshots/avoid enemies, and then they have a shield that they can use to tank the next ability or AA, and its passive so Yasuo ALWAYS gets to charge it, and theres NO CD. And once its up it stays. AND tower shots don't even make it go away, not saying the shield should block a tower shot, but its weird that Tower shots dont just destroy the shield. Other passive shields are just consumed based on the damage dealt to them and dont stick around once destroyed.

his passive, W, ult to refresh passive (and keep him out of tower range, this is TOO much safety for all the damage he can dish out, he gets to play like some sort of situational tank)

his passive should should just be deleted instead Rework W so it has a longer CD but it gets reduced by moving and change it so it acts more like a directional spell shield (its up for 0.75 sec and then its gone).

less annoying + a bit more skill = less skilled people playing Yasuo + less hate

You should go become a soldier in a military intelligence occupation (35T if possible, 40k sign on bonus) go active, reserve, or guard (Guard is easymode, and you get alot of benefits). In training, you will come out of your actual shell, you won't have a shell anymore, and be more prone to extrovert behaviors. You will not have anxiety anymore, trust me.

I agree champ stereotypes shouldn't be a thing. For example, when I played Soraka or Lulu, if I played poorly, people would flame me for being a trash egirl and say degrading things about my person all because I prefer to play a champion with a certain playstyle who coincidentally happens to appeal to a lot of girls. However, if I feed my ass off as a champ such as Braum, I can just say "I sacrificed myself for ____" and people will either shut up or criticize my lack of mechanical skill instead of saying sexist things.

I can imagine your frustration at people getting pissed at you just for playing a champ who coincidentally happens to be associated with feeders or flamers. You shouldn't be judged for a personal preference/something you can't or don't want to change, just because it's something unpopular with the majority of the people. If we think back to what we know about several...sensitive historical events, we can see that some of the nastiest ones were literally caused by discrimination against a certain group of people, which is exactly why we should look out for smaller versions of discrimination. I'd say that ostracization is a part of human nature, which is definitely inevitable. However, history does tend to repeat itself, typically due to the blindness of humans, who think "oh well, this is just a small event, it won't matter at all in the grand scheme of things". Then, we ignore the small warning signs until the last minute. For an example as to what I'm talking about, refer to this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bsd1IT7ySfE
