Wil Riot ever consider renouncing time penalties?

Seems to me that time penalties are not effective and very energy consuming. Like any company they should consider economy for them but also for clients. I got power surge so i got afk penalty because when i turned on my PC i had to redownload patches, install (some weird repair), etc. I agree with a penalty, cause i ruined a game even though it was not in my control to avoid this situation, but not a time one. I rather take 1 day ban, gladly, than having to wait with client open 20 minutes. it s hard to follow that timer, usually u miss it at least 10% of the times, it does not get reduced if u missed the ready button. Ss i think we should propose RIot to consider some other punishments (more lp decay, 1 day ban, etc) than wasting the most precious resource we have as living organisms, TIME!!!

I have never, ever received a time penalty for a single instance of a power failure. That 20 minute LPQ means your Internet goes out extremely frequently or you have a history of leaving games.

As I've said in other threads, punishments are supposed to feel bad. The 20 minute wait is supposed to be a deterrent.

Except to reach the 20 minute penalty, you have to have a history of going afk or disconnection.

the problem is the type of punishment... energy cost money, i would rather take a time ban, like i can tplay for six hours but not wait 20 minutes before every game. ANd as i mentioned , i have taken the levear buster while i was solving client issue with support, not bc of dc or bad internet. All i can see is all of u missed my point.

From the Leaverbuster FAQ:

HOW LONG WILL I REMAIN IN THE LOW PRIORITY QUEUE? You will be placed in the low priority queue for 5 games. If you continuously leave, the low priority queue timers increase from 5 minutes per game to 10 minutes per game and then capping out at 20 minutes per game.

IT'S NOT MY FAULT. MY INTERNET/YOUR SERVERS DISCONNECTED ME. I HAD A REAL-LIFE EMERGENCY. I HAD TO GET OFF THE COMPUTER. THE GAME CRASHED. UNBAN ME! We understand that players may be forced to leave from time to time so the system has been designed to keep these situations in mind. After leaving a few games, you will be placed into a low priority queue; as long as you can complete 5 matchmade games without leaving, you will be returned to the normal queue. However, if you continue to leave games, you will remain in the low priority queue.

You may think of the time penalty as unfair but think of it this way: when you leave or afk you're essentially wasting the time of your teammates in the game. By having a time penalty in the queue it forces you to you get a sense of what it's like for your teammates whenever you leave or afk. Don't like it? Don't leave, simple as that.

Damn, a 20 minute timer? Ive never seen that. Ive had 5 minutes before i think. I think the idea is, you're wasting other peoples time and resources, so now you have to waste time and resources. Punishment fits the crime.

Have you considered not playing league if your internet is that bad? You are directly hurting your team every time you disconnect. Even a minute gone is an insane loss for the team in overall pressure.
