A Flawed Banning System
Yes I did get banned

Although it's great to ban people who are really toxic during games, it isn't great to ban people who are only toxic for one or two games. My main account got permanently banned because I was really toxic for two games straight. The system should look for consistent toxic behavior because everyone has moments where they can't control themselves, and some are just really unlucky with that control, which explains why only 0.006% of players are permanently banned.

Chat doesn't tell the full story, if it did then chat would be filled with paragraphs of explanation on why you're upset or why what you think you're doing is correct and so on. However the amount of characters you can type are limited, and it just isn't realistic to type for so long when the game is still going on. There should be certain cases where players are allowed to be toxic due to their environment and situation.
a. When a teammate bans a champion you were planning to play knowing you wanted to play that champ. This is pretty self explanatory, and it is much more common than you'd think. When it does happen it's extremely clear whether or not they did it on purpose or accident. However when it happens on purpose then the victim should get some leeway as to why they're upset. Time is precious, and no one likes it when their time is wasted, and it's even worse when you can't or don't want to dodge. Going into the game the player most likely is already unhappy, and has a negative outlook on the game itself as well as their teammates, you can only expect them to be toxic when they think they're losing. This is ultimately just a case of "having a bad day" except you get punished because someone else made you upset. In addition, the environment greatly contributes to the level of toxicity. When the victim is upset and expresses it, they don't deserve half of their own team to "bully" them. This only makes things worse since they get off scott free because you were more toxic than them, even though they instigated it.
-Now that alone maybe isn't enough to excuse everything, all I'm saying is that you need to look more in-depth on what happened. In my case I've been trying to get a certain champ top, but 3 times in a row, the champ I wanted to play was banned, by my own team, even stating that they didn't want me playing that champ there. Of course no one likes trolls, but don't ban before asking me why I chose to play that champ with that role. I pick who I'm planning to play pretty early, so there's more than enough time for a conversation, but no one wants one, it's always shoot first and ask questions later. Having to play 60+ minutes of champs I got bored of playing a while ago is not fun, and I didn't realize how upset I was until the 4th game where my own team "bullied" me because I was "crying since I suck", I was the one who felt the most injustice here. However this was only the first game out of the two that got me banned
-The second game I wanted to give up and surrender because it was a waste of my time, It was one of the few games I won a Fiora versus Renekton matchup, and to lose the game because my team just wouldn't let me carry got me really upset. I wanted the game to end because I knew I was really upset and if it kept going I was just going to end up even worse. If two of my teammates still thinks we could win and are trying to win the game, they shouldn't be able to get me banned because we had a simple disagreement. I'm in silver, and if two silver slackers want to win, they should be doing it the right way, not just "let's group and 5v5" all the time. I 100% always support people who actually know how to end the game and work with them, but I'm not working with idiots, it's a waste of time.
- I think this point is important to make for many reasons. You shouldn't apply master level expectations to silver levels. The whole idea of "anyone can win the game" is absurd once you're silver. Once you're silver you already have basic understanding of how to end the game, but most importantly this applies to the enemy team as well. In my case there were two idiots on my team who didn't know how to let me carry and end the game, yet I took all the blame for choosing to not cooperate with them. League of Legends is a team game but there are occasions where one person is carrying the rest of their team, and it's the rest of the team's job to make sure they're not too heavy of a burden to carry. You can't compare this to a game like soccer because it's a 5v5, and if two people doesn't know what they're doing on one team, no amount of teamwork can fix that. To give some clarity after the first game (above) I took a respectable break and went back in. I saw I was up against Renek and I was like "well I'm just going to make plays bot" or "I'm going to focus on just farming it out", and to my surprise I dominated lane. This is troubling because when someone reaches a high, and then someone else knocks them down from their "high" you can expect very rude words be said which is what happened to me.
- I'm not saying I'm perfect or not toxic at all, but I'm unlucky, I'm silver, and I'm consistently positive. As a matter of fact, the majority of the games played this week before the ban was pretty positive, I would almost always type "gl hf" in the beginning of the games and I would praise my team for doing a good job. However another point is that the system doesn't look at that, which is unfair. If you want to look at my chat then I'll post it, but remember that a lot goes on behind the scenes that is very important but often neglected. Or if you want to just research me my main account was: Xtra Dime.
