Banning and Trolling

I'm sick, as I'm sure most of you are, SICK of trolling. It has become such a burden that I have stooped to the level of troll and trolled because I was trolled. The toxic cycle of a community. Anyways, despite my hate for trolls I hate the auto-ban system a lot more, it is a burden to respond, to request, to plan with pings alone...and I am getting chat bans for swearing and saying things that regular people just say. Turn on your chat filters? I don't know.

All I know is that I've played since the end of season 2 and trolls have always made me consider stopping the queue. But now Riot is changing everything and adding these auto bans, I honestly might just stop playing (and most importantly to Riot buying RP).

I know people will say "Oh, one more troll going" "We don't need you" "Bronze/Silver whatever" but besides the fact that the majority of the community isn't even ranked. I have been a dedicated and committed player and fan of LoL for a long time. I watched season 3-5 of NA LCS, I consider myself a part of this game. But I am disenfranchised and need to speak up.

You don't generally get chat restricted for swearing, it's more when you direct your swearing towards another person. People don't generally go around swearing obscenities as people they do not know.

If you are consistently getting chat restricted than you are doing something wrong, and really I think Riot would rather get rid of this kind of behaviour anyway, so you threatening to leave would actually be a net positive for the community.

You're just adding to the pool of players who ruin the game.

People shouldnt be required to use the filter, they are there as an option, but you are basically wanting people to use it as a requirement just so you can curse, and use hateful words. Dont get me wrong i think everyone can agree it can improve, but finding trolls is a lot harder than finding people who curse a lot in chat. one can easily be identify by just reading chat.

Trolling is just a vast and broad word basically everyone has a different definition to it. With Riot its usually a mixed of everyone's definition. But the rule of thumb is generally that a Troll is someone who is purposely trying to make it difficult for anyone to enjoy the game. This could mean anything from cursing, to picking a certain champions, to intentionally feeding, to just being afk. Like cursing some of these are easy to find, while other are not.

But people also forget that with things like this it needs to be consistent. Just because one person fed in one game shouldnt mean they get their whole account ban on the spot. People have bad games, and yet to some even this one game should mean the end of this person accounts.

All in all some things are just easier to find. If you really think even one group despite what people think Riot isnt some big name company, they dont have every single person working in all areas. All have their fair share of groups just like any other job/career. They dont have Thousands working for them as much as some people want to believe. They arent as big as say Blizzard, or Steam/Valve.

I just want the option to mute everyone before the match starts. I know that with the new champion select coming out next year it is catered to people that want to play dedicated roles and off-roles with clarity and agreement I want them to know I am choosing to block them out. I feel it is a right for me to not deal with the immature people I constantly have in my games climbing through bronze that cause me to tilt because they don't understand the mechanics of the game this happens in normal and ranked. I want people to take a level of knowledge test on the summoners code. I know that people get angry and I know that I get angry, the only difference is that i'm conscious about what my triggers are and i know i can make myself more useful to a team if I just don't read what they are saying. I want to put my focus on the game NOT the heckling that is rude and completely unwarranted. This game is evolving and the thing holding it for me are some of the toxic players that refuse to compromise with me or my team.

If im having a bad day I dont want to make it worse by coming to play the game i've dropped hundreds of dollars****** on to play with the uncultured nihilistic heathens that i get in my games from time to time. And for all I know they could just be young adolescents that dont play this game to its serious potential so maybe it would be best that riot put a age group setting that doesn't allow them to play with me in my matches at all. If i can agree to log in with facebook then i think riot can fulfill this request.

And I really don't want to play matches with people that have literally zero ranked matches in their profile. This is a recipe for people to rage quit and end up reported. The matchmaking in this game could be much better if riot was able to factor games played in ranked (if any) into the algorithm they use to determine matchmaking in normals. I feel its only far for the ones just starting out to play with people of their own caliber.

Or you can make it really really stupid simple and just add a sandbox mode for trolls so they have a place to be mischievous
Im providing some general ideas im positive were talked about at one point or another. Im not asking riot to re-invent the wheel so to speak, but make it a bit more modern to where it suits special situations such as the ones ive talked about.
