Mundane sensitive reports over chats.

As read below, this was a conversation/mild argument I had with a support member about the report flaws. my only response to his last message, is that pings matter, and so do player pings on what an enemy champion has used to notify the others of the cooldown rate. Yes it is a mild nitpick, but we are people and are natural to emotion to be pulled into an argument/conflict because some people are not as fortunate to be happy go lucky and mute everybody or just completely hide a chatbox. Having the excuse to move a chatbox will not always solve a solution. Unsure what else to put on the matter but it is worth at least thinking about when Riot manages the way they do. How many people have ended up in a toxic area and, as a beginner, tried to defend themselves against another player. Because of the big rumors from any ex-league player(or current) you talk to when out getting coffee or playing at a gamers den, they will tell you the community is toxic and reasons why some quit playing.

Hey Locotion,

There is a pseudo way of removing your chat, check this out. You can move the chat away from your screen by pressing enter to activate your chat and to move it around like you would a window on your PC.

If that isn't enough, you can actually disable your enter key by following this boards post. https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behavior-moderation/ghKQoeu8-how-to-unbind-your-enter-key-to-prevent-inadvertent-toxicity

I actually really like the idea of opting in and out of using chat, maybe even being able to do so in your pre-game lobby, just in case you notice a frustrating set of teammates. You know what though, this sort of feedback would actually be perfect if you were to put it on our boards. This way, you'll be able to get feedback from other players and possibly even get a response from other staff of Riot - as they often browse the boards to give proper responses to player's concerns. I'll link you to the boards for quick and easy access. https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behavior-moderation

No, I view is was very mundane, I'm thankful if you DID penalize this e out her players I reported, but it will not reflect if the system is to ironfisted. It a nor am example to execute people like the medieval era of people prosicuteing women scientists and doctors to being witches. The server is acting more of a witch hunt, I should be allowed to speak even if it's considered toxic to the accuser who is the real predator. Because half the time, maybe less, those innocent responses are reflected as bad, sending no message at all of how anybody should act. If you're going to have a chat in your competitive game, put in a disable option to turn the chatbox off entirely OR remove it from the game entirely so people will be toxic on a third party chat rather than your own game, putting players who are innocent in harms way.

Hello Locotion,

I do respect that you want to have a system and environment that you feel is more fair for each person involved. Having the ability to criticize old systems to implement new ideas drives new ideas and allows your voice to truly make an impact in a place like League.

I know this penalty seems petty but int he grand scheme of things, that's how we want you to recognize this chat restriction. It's designed to be a reminder that we want you to focus on using your chat to discuss how you can win rather than the negative points that have happened in the past.

then fire nitpickers, you shouldn't hire snowflakes in riot when snowflakes play these games in League. if there is no higher branch than a support team, even to when a blitz bot instantly responds to a report half the time, you have responsibility then if you started as you do youre the last line of defense on reports, youa greed my game 2 was a VERY mundane report so your team should be on better minds than that. im just saying be more careful at the least On Thursday, April 11, 2019, 10:52:39 PM CDT, League of Legends Player Support wrote:

Hello,

There is not a higher escalation I can forward your request to. Agents that work on tickets or in live chat have the final call when it comes to decisions made on accounts.

I do want to note that it is a common misconception that more reports will have a greater chance of penalizing the reportee. Though logically it makes sense, that is not how our IFS (Instant Feedback System) functions and it only takes one report for us to fully investigate a player's account. In addition, if your chat was clean and you you played to the best of your ability, you will not have to worry about false reports - as they will not effect you at all.

The only way for your account to receive a follow up penalty is if your chat remains focused on other player's misbehavior, please avoid interacting with players that don't intend to cooperate, it's honestly not worth yours or your team's time.

This is great, I want to request you show this piece to your higher ups, it will help with adjusting blitz bots report system to prevent more player loss and less income to the company please, that has to be looked into and noted so we can prevent bad reports

Hey again Loco,

I can't actually remove the games associated with your penalty.

Though I will admit that game 2 was quite minor, removing it wouldn't actually change much of your penalty in terms of your honor reduction, severity of consideration if there is a follow up penalty, or much else in regards to your account.

If there's anything else I can clear up for you, I'll be glad to help you out.

I'm just wanting a strike taken off for one of the arguments, my game 2 woth a darius in specific, take a look, I did not engage at all exept to tell the others to not listen to my team who would have influence to report me and have multiple reports hit me, causing a strike because of the blitzbot system algorithm

Hey there Locotion,

I've gone through your chat restricted game and it does seem like you've had to deal with a very frustrating match, I don't blame you for being upset about that match and the players in it. I'll take a look into your trouble some teammate's accounts to see what's good. I want to make a note that I will not be able to divulge any sort of information about these player's account status for privacy and security reasons.

The hit to your honor is exceptionally daunting but for the time being, this is how seriously we're treating negativity. (I'm more than willing to provide you with some tips to leveling up your honor in a follow up message if you like)

There are 3 pillars of negativity that our IFS (Instant Feedback System) can detect your account for when considering a penalty.

Arguing with others (Even if you didn't start the problem, you can slow it down or stop it by ignoring the misbehavior of others) Calling out other player's poor behavior (Players want attention so they'll try and push your buttons, don't let them get to you) Calling out other player's poor gameplay choices/performance (This is more self explanatory but if you're not focused on future objectives, you're only hindering your chances of having a competitive match)

I know your chat feels like this is minor in comparison to some of the things we've both seen in League. But due to how frequently your chat does argue with other players to call them out for their poor behavior this is the correct penalty to be applied.

If other players are causing issues in your game, please do make liberal use of your mute function. Players often forget how powerful this simple feature can change the course of the game and how it impacts your overall experience playing league.

TLDR: Keep your chat game-focused with what you can do in the future rather than player-focused of what has happened in the past.

In all seriousness, my end goal is to help prevent any sort of further penalties, if there's anything else I could clear up for you, hit me back up at anytime.

So, people leave the game a lot due to toxicity. Riot then makes rules against toxicity to help prevent this loss of playerbase. Im not entirely sure what your point is to be honest. Just that people are snowflakes? Or just spreading awareness that super petty shit will get you punished?
