hey lolers, i've been playing for a long time but recently came back after a long hiatus. for the first time ever i recieved an in game punitive measure; i can only make one message every 2-3 minutes in game and cannot use all chat. from what i can tell, this spawned from a game where i got trolled hard. top fed, ezreal tilted in bot lane, and for some reason they thought trolling me was the solution. I swore towards the end of that game, and even said i didnt want to win anymore, but still played (my top lane and ezreal were literally clearing my jungle camps and then suiciding one at a time 1v5 ) and finished out the game. I didnt report them, figured we were all frustrated and whatever, its a game and people of all ages play. turns out they asked the other team to report me. I'm curious; what is it that i did that was a punishable offense? I was the player with the most positive score on our team, and i was polite with our top lane when he first started stealing my camps up until he made it very clear he was trolling, and ezreal and he just ran off into the sunset together. Was it swearing? was it stating i didn't want to win anymore and wanted out of the game feeling trapped? was it pointing out that i was getting trolled by over 1/3 of my team for almost a third of the game? I could use some clarity, because I am sure there is something im missing, but I was not aware any of those things were punishable.

You will have to post the chat logs given to you in the report that says why you were chat restricted, in order for us to give you an accurate explanation of what exactly got you the punishment. Swearing is not against the rules, so we can rule that out for now, at least.

Pretty sure there's a tiered blacklist of words you can't say, and the associated punishments for saying them and it's a mostly automated system (sometimes you'll cop a punishment for a word taken out of context). But it's basically Permaban > Time Ban > Chat Restriction based off what you say.

Can't say for sure what the words are because it's constantly updated, has never been shown to the players, and it's made region-by-region. (E.g. dropping the C-word in OCE means nothing because it's basically slang here whereas it's a much nastier insult elsewhere in the world).
