The unsolved problem with LOL toxicity

It only takes 1 game for a toxic player to ruin a players match.

Whereas it takes a series of multiple games before the player MAYBE Gets punished. And even if they do get punished if they get banned just make a new account or hop on a smurf.

I write this post because I am seeing many articles about riot not battling toxicity

But the real question is if it is even possible?

I’m not saying riot isn’t trying I’m just saying the ability to hop on a smurf account or make a new one and do the exact same thing is pretty easy.

So it would be nice for players to stop bashing riot employees for toxicity.I don’t have a solution and I personally don’t think there is one.

There isn't a perfect solution. There will never be one until humans as a whole stop being dicks. There will never be a way to full curb toxicity, some is always going to fall through the cracks no matter what is in place. The best you can do is report and wait.

Well, one of the downsides of a free to play game is that anyone can make new accounts. They also can't ban IPs because people can be using the internet cafe's, public places, and dorms. There may also be multiple people that play the game so essentially, the only way I can think of to stop players from making multiple accounts is by making LoL a pay to play the game which that would just suck.

Eh, there are certain systems in other regions that are done. However, I don't believe these systems would be successfully implemented in the NA region.

If Riot had people actually reviewing the games then it could be more effectively stopped. Maybe have a system where the community itself can review games with full chatlogs and stats so we could use context for cases the IFS cannot handle. Hmm.. sounds familiar.

But if you're just talking about chat related "toxicity", then no game is actually being ruined. The mute button can solve it easily.

No shit Sherlock? How could it take 2 games to ruin one? xD

Maybe starting to remove (if not perfectly) the origin of the problem (trolling/inting/soft inting), then the majority of the chat cases would be gone as well. So no, they are doing a bad job at it, they do not even understand what is happening and why. Rito employees think about flamers like inherently asshole people, and do not even consider that maybe, just MAYBE the gameplay related issues turn some players to flaming, since they would like to win, but the trolls fck their game.

You can be punished after only 1 match, even if you didn't use any of the trigger words.

It takes a certain percentage of games to be reviewed. Even if you didn't do anything wrong in those games you were reported in, and then you had "1 bad game" that 1 bad game could trigger the system to review you and you could be punished for 1 game.
