Riot are creating a Nanny State for League

So I was banned back in March and I haven't played the game since, but I've been doing some thinking while I've been away. I'll start with why I was banned (and why I think it's incorrect).

I recieved my 2-week ban a month before I was perma banned and I accept that I deserve that because I straight up said "Kys you fucking n***er". I accepted my 2 week punishment for that because that was toxic.

A month later I finished a ranked game only to recieve a popup that said my account had been permanently banned. I contact Riot support and they told me there was no mistake and that my account was gone for good.

I went back and read over all my logs and after being flamed and trolled for a full 25 minutes, my only slightly negative comment was "You're the most braindead Rengar I have seen in my life". For context, I spent the first 15 minutes defending this Rengar from our toxic top and mid who were non-stop shouting at him.

I asked Riot again why I was banned and was told something to the tune of "The chat is only there for positive communication. And we are trying to remove all negativity from the game."

I asked "So are you going to ignore the 70+ games I played prior to this where I wasn't toxic and ban me over one bad game where I was more or less the innocent party" to which they responded "Yes".

Are Riot creating "safe space" game where the moment you say anything slightly negative you risk getting punished? (Chat ban, 2-week or perma ban).

I really don't think calling someone braindead should result in a ban, and as the game is highly competitive tensions can run high and sometimes people say stupid things, and as long as people don't say things like I did to recieve my 2 week ban, I don't see a huge issue with it.

Tldr, you have a poor understanding of what is toxicity.

Judging from your post, you probably have a poor understanding of what is griefing as well.

You should have been perma-banned the first time. That was Riot's real mistake. Why should the rest of us put up with toxic children throwing temper tantrums?

Mate telling somebody to kill themself over a video game is more than toxic its mess up and sick. What suprises me is that you had a 14 day ban if i had anything to say about it it would had be a permaban without a doubt.

It clearly says on the reform card that any form of negatif behavior could result in a permaban and just 1 month is not enough to proof you have learnd you lesson. Cause you had your last warning with the 14 day ban and everybody who comes of a 14 day ban is on very tin ice for a long time. I think its at least 5 months of good behavior to drop in the punishment ladder. Flame has no context its against the rules period! The why dont matter here.

If you really were innocent you dint would be permabanned and more or less dont excuse the things you said.

As i said befor the 14 day ban is your last warning afther that riot kinda give up on you in the hopes of reforming sins you past the last and final warning and most players only need 1 warning to learn there lesson.

Calling sombody braindead deserves a permaban if you came off a 14 day ban cause as it clearly says any form of negatif behavior can result in a perma ban.

Can you give me the link to that statement? I want to see if you're telling the truth.

But yeah, Riot simply caters to the sensetive people in the community, and it leads to banning somone over being fucking negative.

RIP man

This is pretty much true as Riot Support Agents endorse you to do other things like soft int and afk while not typing anything but :)))))) faces in chat so others get report baited into a ban for your afk behavoiur. This is the sad reality, a game that labels itself competitive and weeds out "toxic types" which have a counter, the fucking mute button. But no lets not cull the trolls, lets encourage them.
