Intermediate Bots...

Possibly I'm the only one who has recognized this and I'll admit, I'm new to League of Legends. (Only level 11) However, what I would like to point out is that you have all these people saying that they got so many kills and they 1v5'ed the bots... That's fine and dandy but to be frank do you realize how much of a blowhard you sound like? People use the forums for suggestions and looking for more information. They are looking for things they as players might be doing incorrectly. (I know someone is going to come on here saying well if you lose you shouldn't be playing.) Frankly, I started the game only about a week ago. I have a lot to learn and I do lose to the bots. Case and point, I've only been playing for a week. Intro bots are simple to me, Beginner Bots somewhat more challenging, but fun still. Then Intermediate is a whole new level. Bots are designed to teach you...

Hearing someone talk about their accomplishments doesn't exactly help others players in their search for that knowledge. If you don't want to lose to bots or you get frustrated because you feel like you are carrying your team mates then quite possibly the issue isn't with them but with you. If you aren't willing to teach and you come on here to complain about how all the other players suck without making a decent effort to change that you have no right to complain. I'm not at the level of gameplay for Intermediate Bots yet. Most of my friends are at Level 30 with Tier 3 rune pages filled. Great, I have no grudge against them for it. What I do hold frustration over is that where I look to get better everyone offers insight on how they think they are the best when they can't get a higher rank than Bronze 5... Word to the wise, if you teach us we might not suck... Well, we might, but at least not nearly as badly.

Honestly, Intermediate bots is a horrible place to learn the game, unless you are not going to do pvp. They get you into some really bad habits that are a serious pain to break. The worst habit that I've noticed is no warding, and no itemizing for it.

They're not saying it to brag. They're pointing out that if you're actually dying to bots you're doing something wrong. Like the poster before me mentioned, bots are a terrible way to learn. You put in a lot of time and effort to learn skills that will never be relevant in actual gameplay. You'll master ganks that don't work, learn to lead skill shots in a way that normal players don't fall for. Go play normal games. Yeah you'll get your ass kicked for a while, but you'll actually be putting in effort to learn something that'll help you later on, instead of putting in a similar effort for something that you'll never use again.

I'll use a sports analogy here. What you're doing when you spend a lot of times practicing on bots is basically trying to master playing catch before ever playing baseball. If you spend time on it you'll probably get decent on throwing and catching. But it won't be in a game situation with all the speed that comes with it. Wouldn't you be learning the entire sport much quicker if you actually played in some games and made some mistakes?

If you really want to learn the game you'd be better off playing normals. You're going to lose a lot, and get beaten really badly for a while - and there will be people who are harder on you in those games then in bot games (this shouldn't be the case but unfortunately it is, just ignore and report the people who are really toxic).

But if you do this all the way to 30 you'll improve so much more than you ever would have if you played against bots up to 30. Perhaps you can find someone you can duo with who is willing to help you learn the game and can give you some tips on how to improve.
