Lost a game vs AI - the only human player in the match

Hi,

My name is Wamzeh and it's my first post on the boards. Normally I just read all the popular posts but today I just couldn't resist to let you know that...

I just lost a game vs AI. First time ever. And you know why? Because I was the only human playing in the match.

As soon as the game started, the "players" bought jungle items, refillable potions and rushed to the jungle to clear the camps. I went alone to the midlane.

I just wasn't able to hold the other lanes. They just slowly pushed while I watched this with my empty and helpless soul. The "players" were in the jungle all the time. They didn't even stop moving when the enemy bots were slaughtering them. I couldn't even surrender.

It was a disheartening, awful, and unfair experience. It made me hate the game for the whole duration of the match and shortly after. I'm also a bit furious because now it shows in my stats I lost a game against a bots... playing with bots.

I reported the accounts through a support ticket. I asked if they can erase this match from my history... How can I show my face now to the people I love when it is written all over the Internet that I lost in a co-op vs. AI?

The purpose of this discussion is to ask you, fellow summonners: have you ever found yourselves in this kind of situation, have you perhaps won the game, and how do you feel about this? Do you think it's hard for the developers to make this kind of software impossible to run? Or is it just never ending story, and the botters will come out with a better solution for their software? I noticed bot accounts in my attempts to quickly get the FWOTD but I was never put in a party with bot accounts only.

It was just sad.

Unfortunately it is embarrassing to have a coop v ai loss on your history but everyone knows what happens with bots. People will understand.

You should report them in game as using a third party program (cheating). They are using bots to farm and they should be flagged as early as possible.

Due to the nature of support tickets, there are put in a queue and addressed as they get them, which means they may not be put in line for third party software in time for a ban wave. If you forget to report them in game, then use the support ticket.

Riot bans them in waves so that they can't figure out how their third party programs were detected. Unfortunately that means we have to suffer as a community between those ban waves. However, it's cost effective for Riot and I understand why they are doing it the way they are. If you ban too frequently, it gives programmers lots of chances to figure out how their programs got detected. Although frequent bans, in the short run, makes the game better. In the long run, it makes the game a lot worse because once they find that vulnerability, Riot will have to invest a lot more R&D into figuring out how to detect that program.

I would much rather have the oscillating good and bad rather than a sharp decline and then an ever growing awful toxic cheating cesspool of a game that I can no longer tolerate.

First off -- "How can I show my face now to the people I love when it is written all over the Internet that I lost in a co-op vs. AI?" Whoever gives you trouble with that needs to seriously reconsider their life.

Secondly -- Botters are common in co-op vs AI unfortunately especially since selling accounts through 3rd party websites is a profitable thing. Riot does keep adding software to the list every 2 weeks and ban those accounts in wave once the software is found and added. The problem is that the botters get around that by writing new software on a constant basis same way viruses work.

why would you want the match removed? nobody checks out each other's op.gg if you're just gonna play norms. and it'll be so far down your game history people will probably never see it.

I have come across this as well. That is why I only play champions I can single handedly win the game with in vs ai. It is still stressful when there are 2 or more bots on my team.

I'm not certain what can actually be done about bots. Some people say that the software can be easily detected. I'm not knowledgeable enough to confirm. However, if Riot could "trick" the bots into being some what useful, that would be great. The bots that die in the jungle? Pain in the ass. The bots that attack towers and champions? I can work with them.

I love it! I love being the only human vs 5 bots. However, I understand it is detrimental to their game and community. It ruins the experience for casual players. Unfortunately, like you said, it is a never ending process. As riot tracks and bans bot creators and shuts down account selling sites, more pop up. It will never end. It's thousands of opportunists vs one company.
