Do I have an addiction problem with this game?

Yesterday was a pretty extrem day. I had a free day, so I spend easily 8 hours playing this game. I played until 3 in the morning. I havent done something like that even when I was a teenager. These ranked matches range from "I hate everyone in this game" to "this is cocaine!". When I will win I seek more highs, when I loose I seek the highs i didnt get. Dealing with this player base is beyond anything I can put into words. I hate, and I mean I utterly hate the people who play this game. From the players abusing broken champions, smurfs shit talking in low-rank games to team mates that wont surrender even if we have an AFK on the team and every is feeding. I never thought of myself as someone who wants to hurt others, but these arrogant pieces of sh*t I meet in my ranked games make me want to go on a killing spree. I dont know why the garbage of society hangs out in this game. The new year is still fresh and I was thinking, maybe now is a good time to remove this game from my life. But why do I keep coming back despite hating it so much?

your feelings to "i hate everyone" and "cocaine" seem a bit strange, but other than that idk. i dont think you have an addiction problem. my parents always tried to make me believe i have one when i was younger until i myself went to a professional who then told my parents "do you have a hobby? if so then i bet you know what it feels like wanting to spent 24/7 with that hobby that you love"

There's a lot going on in this post, and none of it is good. Doing right by yourself might mean finding something else to do. Our hobbies should not harm us physically or mentally.

Why don't you play non rank games? I mean it's not like you getting paid to play. In few years none will care if you were GM or bronze. Unless you planning to get a job related to esports, then I don't see a point in playing rank. The majority of toxic players are found in rank.

You keep coming back cause you like the game, but no necessarily the people you play with. The majority of the player base behaves, but it only takes one rotten apple in a match to ruin it for the rest. I would learn to ignore people in multiplayer games. Each time you feel like raging, just think of this as a game that doesn't matter if you win or lose.

The people who don't want to surrender probably want to practice like cs under pressure. Even if a player is afk from the start, there is a lot you can practice that can help you improve.
