I just want to discuss one thing... when playing a game of league you should have map awareness right? Let your teammates know when an enemy is missing or such. Or try to explain to people to not only go in when its 1v3 or after you already went in and died? I try to first talk to the team. Im a little frustrated but i say hey use map awareness or you shouldve went in we had that chance. Either one no one fucking replied and the teamwork is already just fucking dead at that point or two... it all of a sudden becomes my fucking fault just because im trying to help out the team. Now all I really wanna know is why people have to be such arrogant selfish ass holes in this game and have no sense of teamwork? And when someone tries to step up unless theyre kissing ass and not explicitly saying whos doing what wrong (and you dont have to be rude to tell people that stuff) and just being vague then most often the team gets pissed off at you because god forbid they do something wrong. Just want a community I can go into and fucking play a game and not have to try to do all the work for everyone and be able to just chill relax and have a fun time and doesnt just try to state im doing trash just because i said one thing constructive and even tho were ALL DOING TRASH. Without a good team its hard for anyone on the team to do good... thats just how it works in a game CENTERED AROUND TEAMWORK! But thats impossible with league and almost because of how leagues reporting system works. You could say the slightest things and get banned. Ive seen it happen to people before and once to me lol. (really more of a rant because this fucking community is like no other. Its so bad on the ESRB rating the game is rated T but says "Online interactions are not rated by the esrb") Like bruh im about to never play this game ever again unless i can find a team. Not even one stranger its that bad. Like not one person I know but maybe 3 plays this game and doesnt get furious specifically because of (not just people being bad but) TEAMWORK!!!! [sg-shisa] PS dont fill this board with toxicity just fill it with rants on this matter and discussions no bullshit. (I say this because now I wanna see what happens to the board. Its league of fucking legends man someeeee persons gotta say something.)

Yeah the way i figure it only about 2 in every 100 people actually care about being kind to others. No matter what a vast majority of the players in the community are excessively toxic and abusive to others.

A lot of it does have to do with how shitty of a state the game has ended up in and how poorly riot has been managing it, but thats still really just an excuse.

Sometimes people are right to be toxic though I believe, if your bot lane dies 5 times in the first 5 minutes, sorry, a good ole "ayyyyy fuck off!" is deserved in my opinion. Because it wastes my time, and takes down my LP, and i dont deserve to lose my time and LP for others failures.

But that is my opinion. I do wish people would stop hard raging just because something happens that they don't like though.

A good way to look at it is that a lot of people that are super abusive in game, suffer in their real lives themselves and really are typically just letting out misdirected anger from the situations they are having to deal with in life.

Almost any time someone rages at you and tells you to kill yourself, its because they themselves have been dealing with stress and problems that lead to the anger that was unleashed upon you.

i think the problem that this entire community has is they want to win. they don't care about anything except winning. and winning is a matter of perspective. to some it is destroying the nexus. to others it is forcing the enemy to surrender. and others think it is getting most kills. players will do anything (and i do mean anything) to win a game. if they are not winning they blame their team for doing terrible and will report them for whatever excuse i can find. from what i understand, in a perfect game of league everyone is doing what they should which is following the meta and going by the book. if someone is not doing that then they will flame at them and go ape shit crazy. it dont matter what game mode it in either. people expect you to do as they say or else they report you and get pissy at you. unlike most players in game and on boards, i don't care about winning or losing. league is just a game. it is not the end of the world if we lose a game and there is nothing at the top of the ranked totem pole to make the climb worth it. i have seen every type of player and after playing almost a year the only thing that pisses me off is an enemy purposefully going out of their way to kill me and no one else (don't matter if they are jungle or not) and players crying and surrendering cause being an asshole to their team is not working. all i want from my team is to show respect and kindness. but they don't care. they will continue to flame me and be an asshole to me cause they expect it to work. but really it will do nothing except give me less of a reason to listen to them.

You probably want voice chat. It's a lot easier on the listener and the speaker.

Use pings. There is nothing that pings can't communicate. You can ping someone to go in or to back off, you can ping mia, you can ping items, camps, enemies. Why do you need the chat to shotcall? The chat is for banter etc. It is not to shotcall

Either play in a 5 man and everybody go into VC to help your communication.

Or you can make a discord server and post the link into chat immediately when you get into chat select. If people choose to join then you guys can play better because you have a faster form of communication. But you should be ready to kick/full mute somebody in the VC if they start to get toxic.

These two aren’t the best solutions but they do help.

Playing in a 5 man can help if you play with people you know are all not toxic and don’t get toxic at all.

Teamwork has been eroded and erased from this game because Riot pushes the idea of the "solo carry" which is opposite of the "Team game" it started as. They go to each player and tell them they are "too good for this team", that they are the "solo carry" So it essentially causes players to see thier teammates as "the other". These players dont want teammates, they want witnesses to "my personal glory". This has become less about "teammates working together to destroy the nexus" and now has become a fight over "I got more kills than u" I have had games where I ask people "can you ping your MIAs plz" or "watch the map next time" and I will get "stfu" followed by them spitting MY OWN kda back at me as if its some debate-ending secret weapon, Something along the lines of "stfu, ur 0/2" Players in this community are so wrapped up in thier entitlement and self aggrandizement that they no longer even look at the context of HOW one died, just the fact that they died periot. I could get 4v1 ambushed, CC'ed to a standstill and go 0/1. And this community will not think twice of "omg report for INTING" They use the buzzwords of "inting", "feeding" and "toxic" as a form of dismissal. People often avoid grouping up because they are more interested in securing -their- kills. I have had games where people will come in and sweep a kill out from under me....guess what? I DONT FLIP MY SHIT AT THEM. I dont spend the entire game crying about how they "KS'ed" me over ONE kill. And more often than not, we can generally get ahead. Most times however, Leads are lost and all-but-won matches are lost becuase of -personal- greed. Players get a few kills and then decide they are "too good for this trash team" so they run off solo. If someone else gets a kill they called 'dibs' on, the player will drop the whole game to kick and scream about KS and seem to use thier kda as validation...like "I have most kills on the team" as some sort of reason why -all- kills should go to them and if someone else takes it, its KS (which people stupidly still think is a "reportable" offence)

The game is heading south, players are leaving the game, and people are less and less interested in WINNING because Riot has pushed a solo carry mentality which turns a 5 man team into just another "kda pissing contest" over who has more kills. Everyone wants to be the "solo carry" and the best way is seemingly to just stick a dagger into the back of the other 4 players on thier own team. Get them banned, removed, or just throw them under the bus. Thats what this community has become. This is why Teamwork is becoming less and less noticable. Everyone doesnt think they are Part of a team, they think THEY ARE the team!
