If you call me out by my rank in a derogatory manner, you have earned your report.

I'm here doing my best to play the game and help the team win. If you want to look me up on lolking or op.gg, that is great for you, but I don't deserve to have my rank (or lack there of in your eyes) thrown in my face and used as a basis for taunting me. I make mistakes just like anyone else, and I didn't force you to take that bad fight that you died immediately. I didn't force you to flash in 1v5 and do virtually nothing; I didn't force you and your duo queue friend to take a 2v4 fight; I didn't force you to face check the bush.

If Riot does not deem this punishable, I need an explanation why. I need an explanation as to why someone is free to belittle me in front of 3 other players, make me feel small, and ruin my night and my spirit. Then, I need an explanation as to why I can't retaliate, leave, or do anything without being punished. Your turn, Riot.

If Riot does not deem this punishable

Riot does consider this punishable. You can report any harassing, derogatory or insulting language and you should do just that whenever you encounter it.

Then, I need an explanation as to why I can't retaliate, leave, or do anything without being punished.

Retaliation adds to toxicity, which is not allowed, regardless of "provocation."

being offended is a choice. mute button exists.

Depends. Lots of people like to point the finger but don't like to admit fault. Meaning plenty of people are ready and willing to spell out mistakes that their teammates make because "my criticisms are valid".

To that I would say, "... but you're X rank". If you're only as good as the team you've been put on and you try to elevate yourself above them, then I think bringing attention to your rank/mmr and pointing out that it's in the same bracket as the people you're playing with, is not flaming nor should it be reportable.

"Make me feel small, ruin my night and my spirit" seems a little over the top. You sure you're the real-deal?

I really think you should focus on the game instead of letting other people dictate how you feel, use the mute feature.

Ignore the sad kids who have to look up your rank online to try to shame you. If they were matched with you, then they are around the same skill level. It really is pathetic of them to try to use that against you. It really reflex on them instead.

how delusional can one be. you left out all your fuck-ups from the first paragraph where people tell you you don't deserve your rank, but you included the fact that your team died 1v5 or 2v4, which is completely irrelevant. if this is the way you think you do not deserve your rank.

They can't call out your rank if you don't have a rank. :)

Reporting someone because they call you out on your rank is frankly... stupid. There is a mute button for that. Reports should be used on trolls and feeders only.

Infernape3/19/2018, 5:09:01 AM1 votes

I just ask them if they want my number and want to hit me up. People generally lose their shit at that lmao

I'm on board with you for the title and the first paragraph - though, the second paragraph, not so much.

Riot does not allow rank-shaming, and neither do they allow retaliation to it. If someone is rank-shaming you, mute them and report them post-game.

Well you'll be happy to know that Riot does indeed deem that punishable! So, no turn needed Rito. Carry on.

Rank-shaming isn't allowed. It's reportable. It's punishable. No explanations needed.

End of story.
