Why do people hack accounts?
Got hacked. Got banned. Sucks. But why? The guy logged in, inted and spammed racial epithets for 2 matches and left. Is it really so easy to compromise accounts? What was his plan?

Well, I have seen Riot restore accounts in hacking cases. Usually on accounts where the account is otherwise clean and Riot is convinced there had been a genuine compromise, not account sharing or otherwise allowing someone else access to login info.

I am not a security expert, by any means, but this is typically how I handle my password creation. The single best thing that you can do to secure your password is to make it as long as possible. The longer it is, the harder it is to brute force*
* (there is a limit to this, but if the password hash is worth its salt (pun intended), then a long password would not exceed the hash bit length.
"hacking" lol accounts is something i never heard of. its usually "shared with a friend" or "thought i get free rp"

But he doesn't get to see me suffer, or he wouldn't if I hadn't made this thread. You can troll people in unranked games too, why not just make a new account? Is there some potential monetary gain? No matter how bad my password he had to go to some effort to get it.
