So I got a 24 game chat ban today. No idea where it came from, it didn't show me the chat logs for what I said or anything like that but I only have to say this. I've never inted, or trolled, sure I've had bad games but so does everyone but I've NEVER purposely lost a game. That being said there are an outrageous number of people playing this game that feel it is their personal duty to make their team lose the game. So people can int, and troll, and throw games without any repercussions but when I call that person an Asshole I'm the one who gets punished for it. So realistically I could troll my face off until someone on me team says something to me and then it's an easy report and chat ban for that player, who reasonably only wanted to try to win the game without team members throwing. I could go on and on but I won't. I wish there was a better way for the Riot staff to target players who are actually trolling. I love this game and for the most part I love the community but this is something Riot is 100% getting wrong. Is anyone with me on this?

Reopen the client and you will be presented with your chat logs.

It does not matter what other players are doing, nor does it matter that you didn't violate other rules. You were punished because you violated the rules and regulations surrounding your behavior in chat.

Oh, and if you would take 30 minutes to look through this board, you'd find dozens of examples of trolls being punished.

I wish there was a better way for them to target trolls n shit too, with ya on that one. Unfortunately, the reality is, with this many players, they will never be able to ban all the trolls. Too many people report for stupid shit that isnt trolling. So if you do report a troll, expect plenty of time to pass while they sift through the thousands of bogus reports, before they get to your actual legitimate report of a real troll.

As far as people getting triggered into breaking the rules, well... thats on them. Many players, including myself, have had plenty of trolls (though much rarer in my experience than most complainers claim) yet we have never recieved any punishments. No one is gonna control my emotions. Those saps that let people trigger them need to toughen up.
