The worse game of my life [Sexism, harassment]

Hello everyone,

Tonight I had the worse game of my life. It's so shocking and upsetting it feels like it couldn't be real, but sadly it was. Even before we started, in the chat when we were selecting our champions, here were the only things I said "Hi guys!" and "How's your evening? ^^", because I'm a person who care about people and like playing with others. Immediately after that, I got called a name in Polish I didn't understand, I asked what it was and they said it meant a woman stupid as a dishwasher who was only good for cleaning the house.

It started like this but it didn't stop, even until the scores at the end of the game. And worse than that, it was not one guy but two!! Saying girls couldn't play this game and were only good to clean the house wasn't even the worst part, it was real harassment telling me to clean/suck their cock, keep repeating themselves out of nowhere. I didn't block because I didn't remember that function but I shouldn't have done so anyway because we can't keep ignoring such a thing.

This is toxic behavior online at its worst! I play to this game to have fun, have a good time, not to absolutely win. But I wasn't even bad since I was one of the last ones to even die, I didn't have a lot of deaths, I kept taking care of the team, healing them and working with them, even with those a-holes. I didn't insulted them because I'm not like that, I actually feel sad and am very concerned about this behavior. Whether they are kids or people in their 20s like one said when I said "Kids, this is really toxic behavior, I'll hope you'll stop this and change".

Kids are playing to these games, it might even be traumatizing to some people and perpetual toxic masculinity and a behavior that is a cancer in our society. How is it even possible people like that are not permanently banned from this game?

One important rule of the boards is that you aren't allowed to call people out by summoner name.
They created a new option for Support Tickets for reporting players, and from my experience it's worked quite well.

Granted you can pretend to be hurt and over-dramatize the effect of a random person hurting your feelings on the internet, but it works if you somehow get kicks off of people you don't know getting punished for something that is incapable of actually hurting you.

I found the best way to avoid this problem is to /mute all. I mean do you expect riot to see your chat logs while your ingame and then ban the people while your ingame lol.

Not too long ago, the League community got invaded by a hardcore incel movement, probably caused by some insanely sexist or incel Youtube/Twitch streamers. It can be hard to tell who is who because of the rampant copycat behavior.

I've had a lot of sexist and misogynistic remarks thrown my way for no other reason than because I'm a support main. They get a report. If it follows me out of game? I go directly to Riot support. Anyone who practices it can go burn in Hell for all I care.

Well, if you like to chat with people and they should turn out this way, mute them and report afterwards. Sexism is punishable if detected. Yes there are those kind of people with mental problems, but you can't do much personally to change their mindset (other than a great performance to prove them wrong :) ).

It's so sad that women complaining about sexism is always downvoted in the boards and when you call out sexists you can get chat restricted and punished on the boards because you 'disagree' with the sexist

But yeah, last night I had a game similar to the one you described, I was playing Nami I wasn't having a great game and both me and my ADC were struggling in botlane to a Morgana+Brand combo When midlane says, how are you dying to two support champs? So I said, you mean two midlane champs? Look at their builds (they build full ap, doran rings etc) And then this lux says, okay calm down Egirl And Lee sin joins in, saying I must be egirl because I'm playing Nami with a skin This descends into them harassing me in the chat all game, in the all chat saying they are handicapped because they have a girl on the team, making sexual jokes and generally just being horrible, I muted all because I couldn't stand it, and then they started to rapid ping me instead Muting pings meant no communication at all with the team so I left them on But it was very hard to ignore them, even though I shouldn't let myself be upset by it, it was hurtful for the duration of that game, because I couldn't block it out

Seriously though, its the internet. If they are wrong prove it. Besides that, fuck em, they are idiots. You don't know them, they don't know you- it makes zero sense to give any shits whatsoever. For you or for anyone else. No one should care what a stranger says.

No its not criminal. It is not allowed to give ids, wrong or right, that is an actual rule. Motivation doesn't matter, besides that motivation never matters to riot. They don't give a shit, they just want everyone to shutup and play the game.

It is not criminal to have an opinion. Even if that opinion is women are only good as dishwashers. Don't worry, they will be alone for the rest of their lives, you don't need to be concerned. Regardless, you aren't about to magically eliminate a problem that has existed since the beginning of mankind- so chill.

Even if they were punished in some manner, they would just start a different account- so it doesn't fucking matter until riot gets some personally unique ids tied into the system and actually fixes their shit. Until they do that, they CAN'T fix their shit, its not possible.

Past ALL of that, they were obviously trolling you. Also welcome to the internet. This only proves you were dumb and got trolled. You have now wasted your time, and in proxy my time- so now congrats, I've also been trolled by them. Congrats on perpetuating their dumbass trolling. Now we all resent you for being stupid.
