I Am Done With League

Maybe it's my MMR that I get the people I do in my games, but they're toxic to the point of reporting because of my pick.

As you can see, I'm an off meta player. I've been playing a lot of sejuani top, xin top, udyr top, and I love it. I have top 3 high damage in a good percentage of my games.

But lately. The toxicity, and again - maybe it's the mmr I have driving these people to my games, is just too much for me to handle.

I just find it funny cause I usually play solo as my friends after college have their own lives now and shit. And so I play with all these other players with no respect and just toxic, sarcastic, passive aggressive to full aggressive comments. And they're usually partied up (as I play solo) and usually tell enemy teams to report the guy playing the off meta top lane. There's a lot of blame and I try to defend myself but it just looks bad crying in all chat any which way.

It's kinda heartbreaking and anger inducing cause this is the way I love playing. Being different. In season 3, I learned the game on Udyr support. I fell in love with it. It was different and it worked only if my adc believed in me. Of course I also learned meta champs like nautilus and taric and branched into adc tristana and ezreal and then to the jg, mid, and top with udyr, kayle, and rumble. So I'm not a troll as most would label me as. I just have a desire to play those I like.

Anyway, my first account was perma-banned because players reported me game after game, it was a massive losing streak on Master Yi top with none of my teams believing in me or helping me out [I don't attempt to play it anymore, although I know now patience is required to make it work and maybe a lil help from the jg ;)].

A lot of people don't believe and judge and just are rude (as I'm sure many of you will either call me out and insult me or actually choose the nice thing and say something nice).

I know my way around the rift. But I don't have fun conforming to what the meta is especially recently as these past two seasons were a disaster at points, but nobody can deny it wasn't entertaining seeing all these weird picks and new strats pop up.

I know the community won't change. And I don't necessarily mean those on the forums. I would say a lot of the sounder minds are here. But a lot of the toxic players are in games with their friends wreaking havoc for others because it's fun for them. And I'm tired of that dynamic. Just bullies in groups with the power to 2-4 man one player on their team and enlist the enemy team to help out via all chat.

I've asked riot to delete this account. So in 7 days, I should be gone. I just want to let you all know why I'm going.

But til then, I'm done and while I do care about the money I spent on this game... No Riot, you aren't worth sticking around for, waiting for things to get fixed. Like the balance of the game, or the balance of the power that players have over one another.

I just want nothing to do with this game and the emotions of betrayal, anger, and sadness playing with these people who target report in parties.

My Advice for Riot: I would almost recommend removing in game (NOT pre-game or post-game) chat and replacing it with a click wheel of communication options. Maybe then the community can begin to learn not to talk shit, by being forced to do so. Or maybe for solo players like me, actually create a solo ranked mode. I mean, there's flex which you will usually find two groups, one of 2 and one of 3, as pre-mades. It doesn't really make sense for anyone to queue up solo for flex. I'm sure they'll encounter the same amount of bullying unless they're smurfs. But I'm sure I would encounter as much bullying since I'm still not playing meta champs.

Later!

Just ignore/mute chat toxicity.

Yeah that communication wheel sounds stupid, would feel like a bot game every game. Just mute people when they say something at the very beginning and you won't even notice you muted them or what your missing.

Best way to counter toxicity is through muting.

Hope you come back though, sounds like you attribute strongly to teams! If you like you may send me a friend request and gift me something with any remaining RP.
