Honestly, one of the most upsetting things about losing a match is not the loss itself, but when someone rage quits causing the loss. Players are able to leave games, ruining the rest of the match for 4 other players with little to no repercussions. It is easy to tell if its a rage quit as well and not even just the person having issues. 9/10 times if someone leaves the game after dying, its a rage quit. This needs to be something bannable honestly. At least 3/10 games in silver-high gold will have a rage quitter that ruins the match for their team mates, and what happens to them? Usually nothing. At most, a longer que time. Please, fix this, because it makes people(I know me at least) want to quit the game completely.

No, it's really not. You're assuming that coincidences don't happen.

Literally no? Maybe the reason they left is because they were lagging (causing the death) and/or they disconnected through no fault of their own because of the same lag that made them die.

Hi, have an account in that ELO, and nope, I see one way less than 1 in 10 games. Maybe you're doing something to cause others to want to ragequit?

If they rage quit frequently, there should be consequences. If quitting from a game exceeds 10% of their total games played, I think it's reasonable to give out consequences.

Just because it's their one quit out of, for example, 6 months of playing, that doesn't justify a total ban.

Ive hit lag spikes where I die because of it and then it fully disconnects me and I literally think to myself "wow they probably think i just rage quit. Hopefully i get reconnected fast so we still have a chance". (And this is all amidst ragey thoughts of FUCKING INTERNET WTF. WHYYYY??!!! I HAVE ETHERNET WHY IS IT STILL SHITTY???) The lag usually preceeds the disconnect, and lag can very easily get you killed.

Dude, I don't know about you, but I've managed to put up with quite a bit of awful people in my life and through gaming. Rage quitting, by actually leaving the game shouldn't be frowned upon. This person made a rational decision to leave instead of causing you guys verbal harm and or feeding. This did you guys harm yes, but it did more good than harm. Being reported for taking a mature stance is better than being banned or given a reform ticket because you said a couple of frowned upon words. Plus... this game has quite a few adults with responsibilities that might just incidentally need some emergency care. Those things aren't as controllable as you think they could be. That's why you need some leniency. I hope this perspective can shine a new light for anyone struggling as to why they left.
