Why are there options for banning when everyone uses the same one

i have been reported for offensive language on multiple occasions when i didn't say one word in chat. I think when you give people the option to report people, they just pick the one that's most used so they will get in trouble this is what happens when you give children power there not responsible and people get there accounts banes for doing absolutely nothing. I think the best thing about all this is you get all the trolls in the boards that just say you deserve it when you really don't like seriously i think not a single person ive met in league deserves to be beaned from the game and ive had some vulgar things said to me. I think that absolutely no one playing any game in general deserves the right to say another person cannot play that game and tbh if it gets that bad just turn off peoples chat all together and is it really that hard to press mute if it bugs you enough to bans someone account like seriously why?

Wrong. They read chat and you can't be banned or chat restricted without a rioter looking at your chats. I find what you are saying to be not true at all.

False reports are filtered out for punishment, but you still get the warning if you are reported frequently enough.

I don't think it's too much to ask everyone playing this game to act like reasonable human beings, and the report system does help get those people who are out of line out of the game faster.

You're right. I don't think a single person deserves to get beaned, it's quite horrible.

Banned on the other hand? Yeah, you deserve that.

If a report against you is false (i.e. Verbal Abuse when you didn't even chat), the report will be thrown out and the person will lose weight in their reports. You don't have to worry about those. You said you were reported, but didn't say punished. People can report all they like but it won't do anything if there's no merit.

It's not usually about how bad they were in one game. Most of the time a person is punished for their behavior it's because they are consistently like this, ruining hundreds of hours of other player's game experience on their own. Reports build a case against a player until the community has had enough with them (rarely is a player punished for only a few incidents).

No single player does. As I said before, reports build up a case against a person. Those who are punished have been so by the community through voting in the form of their reports.

WHY IS VERBAL ABUSE PUNISHABLE IF THERE IS A MUTE BUTTON/LANGUAGE FILTER?

Players shouldn't need to rely on features like the mute button or language filter to engage with other players in positive ways. When a player verbally abuses another player and forces him to use the mute button, they have already created a negative experience for that player.
