Hello i am korean user really really enjoying since season 1, I moved to pheonix last year, before than I use to enjoy lol at korea. Before i came here i have never experience this kind of internet problem. internet here is too slow than sometimes it stops at 99%, because of that now i have to wait for 20mins 5times. I understand the intention of this system and i agree with the punishment. but i have never did it with my choice every single time!! I didn't play rank game cus i am lv25 so i didn't effect any points. sometimes i went back to game and i finished but i still got the afk, it seems unfair. but I it is true that i made other players uncomfortable so i will accept the punishment. i'm just asking for decrease the time. because if i clear this time and it occurs again time will be 30 of even a hour. it is too painful for me the person who really enjoy this game. after work playing lol really helps me relax. thank u for reading it and i am expecting for your help!!

You shouldn't play League in the first place if your connection isn't working properly.

There are a few reasons.

  1. Geographical size. Korea is smaller than many states. Longer distances means higher average ping and more potential packet loss.

  2. Fractured service. By that, I mean there is no centralized internet service. Riot partially mitigated this by setting up their own network, but they still had to contract with each service provider to filter game data into the closest hubs.

  3. The US simply hasn't invested in ensuring broadband speeds are as advertised. A number of companies estimate likely usage, rather than ensure customer are getting the speeds they pay for. They also use data caps and throttling as a means to 'encourage' people to upgrade to more expensive packages.
