Toxic Players and Punishments
So, I've recently got into Plat, thinking that toxicity would lower drastically and the game would become much more enjoyable. Oh how I was wrong. I have Plat III-Plat I elo and there are still a ridiculous amount of flamers. 10 minutes into a game, our Vi Jungle builds 6 tears and goes AFK. Because? Thresh tried to give some constructive criticism.
Why when someone is reported by multiple people, are they rarely punished? Whether it's one game, or 10 games in a row they should be punished for ruining the experience for everyone else. I've been playing this game since Season 2 and its still ridiculously frustrating to see people flaming and intentionally trolling and getting away with it. Is anything more going to be done to crack down on people who troll and also on people who flame in numerous games? It doesn't seem to be getting anywhere.
I must admit, I have been toxic in the past due to real life problems causing frustration, and I took this out on team mates. But where was my punishment? I'm glad nothing happened to me, however I thoroughly deserved it in the past. So why has this still not been fixed? When there are obviously people continuously trolling and flaming yet nothing is ever done even if they're reported every single game. I've written this mainly just to rant and get it off my chest since it is ridiculously annoying to still see so much toxicity throughout all leagues. I've been in Bronze all the way up to Plat now and it just doesn't seem to get any better the higher you get up. Is anything actually being done to combat toxicity? Or are the punishments so minor that there's not even a point in them being there?
Any response I receive i'd be grateful for, explaining how either the system works or what is being done to combat all of this. I'm truly sick of the flamers all the time. Sure, I can report them, but I feel like I have 0 power even if I report them when they're in the wrong.
