Sure, people think hes complete and utter "bullshit", which, if he gets cdr and zhonyas, can be, but i'm just wondering how the stereotype of fizz players are jerks come from?

certain champions attract certain kinds of people. Most, not all, Fizz players I have come across believe 1) they are gods, 2) its never their fault, and/or 3) they're infinitely better than you/your champion.

Everyone loves a scapegoat. People make assumptions about the player base behind any champion who is considered OP or annoying, or in your case both.

In the case of Fizz he just generates a ton of frustration in his opponents. Most people don't like feeling helpless, and having an opponent who can just ignore the damage you're dealing kind of does that to people.

Rather than deal with their frustration in a constructive way and learn from the experience a lot of people would rather make assumptions about something else. X champion isn't fair, Y champion is too strong. It's not them, it's the champion, and if it's the champion it must also be the person who decided to play it.

Part of it is what I just described, but the other part is the competitive nature of League. A lot of people just want to win, particularly in ranked, which means a bit of psychological warfare is fair game. Completely nice people will play the part of the stereotype in order to put their opponents on tilt. Emote spamming, BM, and an occasional unsportsmanlike all chat message are all it really takes for most annoying champions. Not everyone tilts so easily, but BMing your opponent takes very little effort compared to the potential gain.

Then again I might just be stereotyping people myself. Who knows.
