Reporting Standards are Garbage

Both in Normals and Ranked I've had countless games where the entire team makes a point to make your time playing miserable because they perceive you to be the reason they're behind. I've definitely been the weak link in a bunch of games, but regardless I think its silly that the one recourse you have for dealing with people that flame you in chat or adjust their playing just to spite you (no ganks to a behind lane, support takes off in you're adc)- talking shit back- will get you a nasty ban and lost Honor rewards.

I feel like either both nasty language and being a general prick should be reportable offenses, or neither should and players can figure it out amongst themselves. If somebody is spamming chat telling you how much you suck and you tell them to fuck off, I don't think you should be muted or banned for that. Either they should never have been able to do that, or Riot should leave the situation alone.

I play a lot of CS:GO and it's not nearly as toxic as League. No chat restrictions. You simply know that if you act like a jerk, you're going to get it back. So most people learn to play the game rather than instigating a conflict. Riot hasn't cleaned up their community, they've only sanitized the vitriol.

Good news! Both behaviors you think should be punishable are already punishable!

When rules are used in the right way, they provide a stable environment and human co-existent, which leads to peace and development. That simply isn't the case in this region. Riot would rather hard moderate chat and punish anyone that says anything negative.
