Is Low Priority Queue Really Necessary for BOT Play?

Hello,

I'm a very casual player that plays LoL Bot matches to pass time and relieve stress. At times I can have unexpected company or things that need to be taken care of that supersede staying in the game for the last 5 minutes or having to all out bail, but that's why I play bots.

Bots are used for training or just general easy enjoyment. Why is there a punishment for being AFK or leaving? It's not PVP where the entire team can fail from one defunct player, nor does anybody care, since everybody claims 'NBD, it's bots'.

I've been placed on a low priority Queue of 5 matches for 20 minutes each. A full hour of wait time for matches that take 15mins or less. This is absolutely absurd. I've put a lot of money into this free game and I just want to play to unwind.

There should not be such punishing restrictions for a game mode that is borderline irrelevant in the LoL universe. Having somebody wait longer than the duration of a typical game, just causes me to close the game and play something else.

Real life happens. Things come up. To punish real life time to wait to play a non-competitive game mode makes me stop playing this game. I seldom leave games, but to accumulate this and punish is redundant. I fully understand PVP or even champ screen leaving punishment, but like everybody says... "it's bots". Please stop wasting time for unimportant results.

You are playing a team game with other humans. There are a lot of new players in bot games who get their experience worsened when you decide to leave or afk. The fact you have a 20 min LPQ means you afk and leave a lot. Punishment working as intended. Whether you do this vs bots or humans you still have 4 humans on your team you mess with regardless. Dont play a multiplayer game if you have to frequently afk/leave

I know what these comments are saying but honestly I don't even know if you guys play AI. I have a lot more perspective into it and I see where this person is coming from and you all are coming from. The penalty should be less severe than standard game modes.

As someone with over 1500 Ai Games, I agree with you. If someone afk in Ai, then a bot afk as well. This game mode is for learning and fun and should not really be affected by the leaver buster. If you are really new to the game and have someone leaves the game in Ai, this should be a challenge for you to see if you can win. This is how I viewed it when I as a complete noob playing by mouse only [zombie-brand-facepalm]

If your real life has that many interruptions you can't even play through a bot game without interruptions, either make arrangements for unterruptable time, or play something else.

It doesn't matter if it's bots or LCS. You're expected to play through any game you queue for.

Make your own bot matches in custom games or practice tool. Then you can just leave whenever.

This is sick. While responding here, waiting for 20 minutes cooldown, i miss the bot game acception for only seconds. Now what? Wait another 20 minutes. GG riot. As there is nothing else to do than camping my eyes on counters. Now fk me for complaining. I am not Diamond pvp struggler

Leaver Buster is madness. And deserved for straight ranked and normals. Overall it was the length of being Afk for me, not the shutdown. And always in bot games. That's crazy. Yesterday my 5th game pings went nuts. Desktop > Reconnect > Back into game. That happened 3 times. The game after, i left bc i was too drunk and didn't really care. It was all bots. Just logged and had to face 20 minutes. Scripted Buster, not humanly, and that's the point. Calling this "Low Priority" is fake. As it doesn't trigger one free game after waiting. If the acception is canceled, however, you have to wait again. And how many times did i see i accept any match and it says i didn't. This cracks you up.

So far i can say you won't be busted immediately for afk times. It's the one true quit that stacks. Not ranked, no Aram. This experience is Bot games. Thanks hell for even all the human bots here.

Deficit. Riot really encourages the worst thing of life: To wait

  • 5 games is WAY much for at least 20 minutes per
  • Buster does not differentiate between true leaver and dc caused afk times
  • Neither between game modes except custom game
  • Failing a queue FOR ANY REASON, resets the counter. How stupid is that. Another deficit while waiting for the Buster is cooled - you can't do shit. No chats, no profiles, no nothing. Yet, the Buster seems beta.

And now have a look at the juicy crapload here. https://img1.picload.org/image/doiddgpr/lowpriorityqueue.png Low priority is off, queue starts, i accept the game - and get screwed for nothing. Wait another 20 minutes because Riot tells me i didn't accept the game, what's the deal? Awesome bro, awesome.

I got tired of waiting and just made a second account I'm not going to sit here and stare at the menu for an extra hour and a half, on top of the already horrible queue times

And no, it is completely unnecessary for bot games

Nobody is bad enough where a 4v5 or even 3v5 in a bot game would be an issue, considering a 5v5 puts people to sleep
