Chat restriction curiousity.

Hi Everyone, I got hit with some chat restrictions recently, and I am trying to understand how this is monitored and why I have a restriction. This is because all the system does is hit me with a restriction and links the last three games of chat, doesn't actually tell me what I've done wrong. I'm gonna put the chat logs in the post for everyone to see, and tell me what exactly is being monitored and punished here. I get i was salty and flaming at some point, but this was in response to worse flaming and bullying from other players (who i reported and have no idea if they got hit or not). So can anybody let me know what exactly is being punished here specifically, firstly so i can actually change my behaviour as i have no idea why this restriction happened to be honest. Stooooooop. One person pissing on the floor is bad. Two people pissing on the floor is worse. The rest of your teammates don't want to step in piss.

I don't work for riot. i don't know the riot coding, but I do know that words have assigned points to them. and once you reach say 100 points, you get punished. so for example you are actually allowed to type kys or %%%%%% or any other hate speech word once every 20 games, without receiving any punishment

if you say "report" that does actually have a score to it, you can actually get banned for spamming " report x"

actually now that I mention spam, spamming is also something you can get punished for, no specifics but i would guess they either count how many lines/words/letters you've typed in the entire game, or they count how many lines/words/letters you've typed per game time, for example if a game went on for 4 hours, and you typed a line every 5 minutes that would be 48 lines a game, but I just "assume" it wouldn't be gathered by the system as spam, where as if you typed 48 lines in a 15 minute ff game, which is like 3 lines a minute, you would be flagged for spam.

so there's number 1. you spammed. I can't tell you specifically how to avoid being flagged for spam aside from just typing less, maybe limit to 1 line per minute average

so yeah you said words, and words have numbers, and if you meet the punishment score, you get punished

so in game 1 you said "god i hate X" I'm not sure if saying "god i hate you is the same points as God I hate X" but that adds points to your toxicity counter, probably the whole phrase, but i would definitely say typing hate adds say 2 points towards your next punishment

saying "trolling" adds 2 more points saying "dumb" adds 2 more points, "saying TOXIC adds maybe 4 points" i just assume toxic is weighed more.

but yeah so saying ffs, screw you, dumb, toxic, ass, waste, hatred, disgust, report, dumbass , idiot, hate lee, nasty,

each word adds more points to a total of 100? points, and maybe if the game was 24 minutes, and you typed over 24 sentences/words/letters, each line after 24 lines would add another point towards ur next punishment due to SPAM

this game you didn't type too much, so i doubt you were penalized for spam but you said "we lose" that's considered giving up, and is flagged, "screw it" possibly flagged, stfu definitely adds points, idiots adds points, report adds points

now, I don't know if SAYING THINGS IN CAPITALS is flagged as points towards your next punishment, but feel free to play it on the safe side and never type in caps

blind adds points to your next ban, "refuse to help" is probably a trigger sentence, maybe even refuse by itself report adds points, wtf, adds points, even if it's misspelt as WTAF, Freakin counts as fucking, so saying "you fucking" counts as points towards your next punishment

"idgaf" "were screwed/i got screwed/games over/we lose" all the same thing, adds points for being negative

"flaming/flamer/inting/inter" all adds points because you're not adding anything positive by saying those. typing shiteeee is the same as typing shit, riot is not dumb, if you call someone a nagger or a niger it will be flagged as calling someone the N word, well maybe not Nagger, but probably knowing riot.

calling someone toxic adds points.

so yeah, there is no one thing that got you banned but anything that can be taken as negative, will be taken as negative under riots system, and they all add points, "yes even asking for reports" but you know saying zero tolerance words will be like 50 points towards 100, and asking for a report might be 3 points, calling someone toxic might be 7 points.

there. unlike these other people that should help you. TLDR words and phrases have points, and if you accumulate enough points you will get punished automatically

yeah the words you type are being punished, everything negative adds points towards your next punishment

you don't have to insult anyone in the game to be honest, if you just go around typing "i hate trump" 40 times a game, you will get punished for it, the game doesn't know if someone is named trump in the game you're playing, but it knows you've typed "I hate" and every time you type hate it will add a point towards your next ban.

you could spam "earth is trash" as long as you're calling X trash, you can be punished for it, i don't know if you can get punished for saying "I'm trash "or "I hate myself" the system might not flag it if you direct it at yourself, and even if the system flags it, you can always send a ticket to riot support saying "i was literally flaming myself all game, look at the chat" but again, flaming yourself in chat brings negativity to your team mates, but you would probably get the punishment appealed in that scenario.

Very little of what you wrote was neutral (e.g. "ward drake" the first time, or "let shen push", arguably). I found zero examples of you using the chat to be positive or encourage your team. Everything else was either passively or actively aggressive and negative. You boss your teams around and blame them for your deaths. You shout at your teammates. You talk so much that it's distracting and irritating to your team.

You were given a chat restriction because it is a reportable offense to have a consistently negative attitude. You should either try to stick to neutral strategic calls (and don't spam them over and over, because that's harassing) or mute yourself to avoid the temptation to lash out in frustration or anger.
