ATTENTION: Is this really true?

Rumor has it that permanently banned accounts are being unbanned. A close friend of mine said he accomplished this through live chat. I submitted a ticket to player support regarding this specifically.

On the other hand, I am here to ask for forgiveness from Riot and the Community. It's time to accept what I have said and done. I used homophobic and racial slurs (oh and also the offensive language), and regardless of what happened to me in game this is not justified. I ruined other players experiences too many times in too many ways. Unable to control my emotions I drove this permaban upon myself and myself only, and cannot blame others for these actions. Riot did the right thing.

Don't leave yet PLEASEE I feel that after not playing on this account for over two years(but maybe the odd game on an unranked account :) ), it's safe to say I have reformed. It is not who I am and what I want others to think of me. Im currently enrolled in a college program that requires a lot of teamwork and communication. Things will not always go according to plan, and learning to positively overcome the mistakes that people make(myself VERY included) is the best approach.

Thank you for anyone who takes the time to read and/or comment on this discussion! PROJECT CANCSUO

There is some truth to your friend's statement, but it is not accurate at this time.

Riot is currently running a small-scale experiment unbanning experiment with a small number of players. However, these players have already been chosen, and Riot is not unbanning any additional accounts at this time.

The official word is currently that Riot can not promise this will happen on a larger scale, and that this is not an indication of any reversal of their permanent ban policy outside of the experiment. They have also stated that they are not necessarily going to reveal the outcome of the experiment, so really all we can do right now is wait and see what they choose to reveal and/or do with that data.

Currently no. They are not unbanning more at this time. They are running an experiment by unbanning a certain number.

As a game developer I pay a good amount of money for analytic reports and yes Riot is running a small scale test on it what they won't tell you honestly is that their numbers in players are declining due to their pc ban bot not only targeting extremly toxic players but also those who are not. They will say this is a lie but the numbers don't lie, and when polled and surveyed people site the reason for declining game quality and the pc nature of it. Then again the banning system has never worked since those same players often just come right back and get another account and continue to be toxic, all the system did was hurt a wider range of wider players. Hell I just got ban for "inting" because enough people reported me for having bad games, of which my character was freezing on the screen while i could see other casting abilities and attacking me no it isn't on my end i have epb 1 gig internet and a high end computer and no packet loss and not using wifi but hard wired and i'm a hardware/Software developer so I know it's not my end yet riot still punished me for inting over bad games but they only sited one game where i turret dove with ahri for a kill and got the error that is from their patch and i'm not the only one having this error other players are telling me the same thing. So yea I won't be back to this game their ban bot is out of control facts don't care about your feelings and the stats are there people are leaving this game and it's decreasing in number. Flame me all you want fan boys you're just to blind to see it. If you want to be honest with yourself, if rito was doing so well why would they start unbanning perma ban accounts the stats show why so I hope you all can figure it out too. anyway I"m out flame away i won't be back
