Own two accounts, chats gone for both after one gets banned?

Hey guys,

So I just got dealt a 14 day ban (very much deserved), and so I log out of the client on that account (Let's call it 'Account A' to keep track of) and log into my other account (Account B) to play since I have two accounts.

Account A has a 14 day ban (11 days left) while Account B has none.

Account B has no access to chat, along with the name and summoner icon being gone in the top right corner. I can still play matches and do things like that, but I cannot access chat.

Did Riot do an IP address ban? Or am I just missing something?

Edit : PC restart fixed it lol

but I cannot access chat

Do you mean you can't see the chat at all or can't use the chat yourself? In case you can't see the chat at all: No idea if that's how it works but I do recall a problem with chat not showing up if you previously spectated a game and moved the chat window. I hardly ever spectate so I'm not sure if that problem/bug was fixed or not.

If you have any friends on "account B", spectate their game and see if the chat window pops up there (pings and everything should be shown in the chat). If it is showing up then move the chat window to its "default position" and leave spectator mode.

They don't do IP bans, at least not in a case like this.

I've had that bug a few days ago too that the client wouldn't connect to chat, but relogging fixed it for me. Did you try that already?

End task on all league of legends processes as there may still be a rogue process in memory, preventing server communication.

its most likely riots fault. but you can try and repair the client but i dont think that will help
