Three ranked games in a row with 4 AFKers total

The title says it all. This is utterly inexcusable for a ranked ladder to have this happen THREE TIMES in a row. First game was a promotion game for me which my team somehow pulled out 4 on 5. Second game guy goes AFK half way thru for no apparent reason at all. This third occurance in a row, one guy drops as soon as the inital AFK/redo timer expires. Second guy goes AFK after it becomes apparent first guy isn't coming back.

This is literally inexcusable. AFK violations aren't being punished to the extent they should when this is a common enough occurance where it happens three games in a row totaling FOUR different players.

I can't express how utterly frustrated I am with this. The game needs better AFK/drop detection or a number of new rules need to be put in place for this crap to stop/be deterred.

(Number order is order of games. So one is the first, third is the most recent of the three in a row). 3) https://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/3159036838 2) https://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/3159005012

  2. MtnDewVooDooTM gives up after getting sawed in the bot lane six times. Confirms in chat he's just not going to be playing anymore because he didn't like the matchup. Comes back after a few minutes to announce he's going to the bathroom while waiting for us to fail. Then goes AFK again. This was the promo game.

  3. I Fuk SLux goes AFK sometime in the second half of the game. No announcement at all, just stops playing.

  4. shanetoon DCs almost immediately after game start, but of course the redo timer is missed. furture proceeds to then also go AFK.

Three ranked games in a row with two AFKs mid game and one DC that lead to an additional AFK (presuming the DC was the catalyst). All in ranked play, first of which during a promotion game.

I don't blame this on the random emergency that happens during a game - that inevitably will happen at some point to everyone.

What frustrates me is the fact that at a minimum there clearly needs to be more analytics around AFKs to make them less punitive for ranked play for those on the team that have to play 3v5. At best, there needs to be a more comprehensive solution to minimize incentives where someone chooses to just give up and go so far as to acknowledge in chat they aren't playing anymore because they dont like a match up - IN RANKED.
