Is it fair to lose LP if 2 or more members of your team in ranked DC?

I was in a ranked game playing alongside my duo, then suddenly our ADC went AFK and DC'ed. It wasn't even 10 minutes in the game and he was lv 3. Then my bot was a solo lane, but 2 minutes later, the support Blitzcrank DC'ed. Wtf is this? it was suddenly a 3v5. I don't understand why I should lose LP if y teammates DC and never come back. This shouldn't be fair. And most of the time they don't even get penalized. I don't care much for my LP since i didn't have much anyways and I'm in Elo Hell, but still. These same people may ruin other games for other people. Who may get angrier than I was, I just don't think it was fair for the 3 people remaining in that game. If the game was a normal draft pick or blind I would get it. But that was a ranked game that I was in.
