Why does this game even have chat anymore?

I'll provide a log from my last game on my main account that got me a 2 week ban. I feel like the word toxic is thrown around sooo much now and it really has no meaning. Furthermore there are many elements in this community that spawn toxicity and its all related to game design. Honestly i cant say that i want to play this game if being vocal is a problem. You create a game where strangers of varying skill levels try to beat an enemy team. I can understand banning people for bullying, telling people to kill themselves, homophobic slurs, and serious offenses. However having an adc that cost you the game get butthurt and report you for telling them that they cost 4 others the game shouldn't get you banned.

I enjoy improving at the game and learning but find many mechanics and design elements very troubling right now.Happy new year Riot. I'm sure two weeks away from league will be fun and maybe you will even identify how to balance damage, cc, and tankiness while I am away.

I am not asking for you to remove my ban or investigate my case further. I'd like for riot to take a serious look at their design philosophy and what constitutes toxicity other than lyte pumping the word deep into our subconscious,

Oh, I don't know. I'd say the system works pretty well considering it's now banned you. A well deserved ban, too, from what I've read here. And that's just one game.

It's so typical for people to not take responsibility for anything nowadays. This person was banned for very good reasons and they think Riot is the one at fault. I'm starting to wonder if these people should be sent back to school as well.

The chat logs are there to provide examples of toxic behavior. You're being told that the majority of the community thinks your chat is innappropriate, and if you won't stop being negative and ruining your team's experience you'll lose your account. You don't need to spam chat about how fed X enemy is or how bad you think X person is. All it does is make the game less fun.

I love when game developers take it upon themselves to instill a moral standard into people. Talking shit and "toxicity" has always been in good fun in every sport and game I have been involved with previously, and also serves as a good motivator to get better. But riot and the pretentious teenage brainwashed c!%$# on reddit will tell you it's immoral and you need to reform as a person.
