Why do we lose lp for dodging when most people just do it to avoid a loss

I kind of agree with waiting 5 min because there are assholes but why the lp loss. All it does is make us play an extra game sometimes and that gives us that much more of a chance to fuck up and then get dragged back to elo hell. The 3lp can mean @ll the difference between hittong promos and being stuck at 99 lp then getting a mega cold streak. Tge only reason i dodge if thereh a cancer waste of human resourses in our game who picked or any simular reason. Dodging because if a bad team comp is not a good reason ti dodge. Ive wone plenty if thise games. Losing lp because you got an asshole in your game is a huge annoyance.

Because queue times would get super long, particularly at very high, and very low elos.

Because just as you don't have a crystal ball to know the outcome of a game while in champion select, nor does Riot.

Seriously. Part of the game is pick order and team composition. Stop trying to game the system. Just as you can't leave a game during the game because "it's a loss", you don't get to leave a game in champ select just because it isn't in your best favor.

Most of these people cant read and just downvote while misunderstanding what he means. He is only talking about inters, troll picks, or flat out trolls you can easily tell by looking at their match history you don't need a crystal ball.

I will sometimes dodge to avoid a loss, but not because I thought the team compositions were bad. Here are a few reasons:

Team members banning other member's highlighted champs.
Team members flaming each other at team select.
Team members being auto-filled, resulting in flaming or feeding.
Team member spamming "yikes", "eGirl" and other harsher words/phrases.

There are plenty of reasons that would make someone ask for a re-roll at champ select, besides team comp. It sucks having to play a match you already know will be toxic enough to give you super powers. I don't have the answer, but I feel like we could come up with a better solution that would allow us to dodge matches, without asshats abusing it. Not that RIOT would listen to us if we did...

Aren't unusual comps part of the climb and dodging them means that you are not on the same level as people who got their ranks while suffering through the occasional weird composition?
