Downvoting For "Revenge" On this Forum - Domino effect

Hi everyone. So I've noticed after using this forum and posting quite a bit on it, that there's something pretty annoying that's going on. I know this happens on reddit aswell, but i think they have a system that prevents it, or some of it at least. When you post a content, you want upvotes for more people to see it. The more upvotes you get, the more views it will have. If you have 5 upvotes, and a post under you has 4 upvotes, that person is likely to downvote yours, to get his post above yours.
The problem is though, people are so aware of this, that whenever they get downvoted , they assume it must have been the posts around their post that did it, and downvotes them back. So 1 downvote results in 4 downvotes and then it spreads from the 4 to 16 etc..
Don't believe me? Go to a section, scroll down on the "new" section and look for the posts with 0 or less votes. They are all scattered together with minutes votes for no reason.
