Work off 14 day bans?

Is it possible to work back to the first tier of being punished if you go a long enough period of time without being punished? I'm a little curious with all the people saying they are "suddenly permabanned" if they hadn't worked off their crimes, or they had been insta-escalated to permaban status.

Example: Step 1: Someone works off their chat ban, and a significant time for them to become considered "reformed" occurs. Step 2: They get punished.

Where does their punishment pick up?

I think 3 months to drop a tier or something like that. got 14 days? wait 3 months and your next punishment after will be 14 days.

Yeah you can work it off.... I am not sure how long it takes per tier but you can get back to a neutral/positive account standing by playing enough without getting valid reports....

Riots says it is possible.....I have never seen it.......but they say it might happen someday.

I don't know if anyone who knows the specifics is on at this hour but yes, time is one of the factors that goes into lowering your punishment tier.

When you go down a tier your next punishment will be the tier you just came from. So if you had a 14 day ban, but have been good for long enough to go down a tier, your next punishment will be another 14 day ban. If you don't get punished long enough you'll go all the way past a chat ban to having a clean account.

It is possible for someone to be suddenly permabanned, but unless they are being a completely racist and terrible excuse of a human being that's honestly not likely.

How difficult it is to reform from the 14-day tier depends on what sets you off, I think.

For example, what caused me to be "toxic" was me putting too much pressure on myself to do well in-game, and breaking down as a result. Naturally, the added pressure of an impending permanent ban if I screwed up made it even harder to handle the problem, and I couldn't just do nothing because then I'd never work it off...

For people with hair-trigger tempers towards others, it's just a matter of learning to mute and ignore.

If you become "reformed" you'll just go back into Tier 1 of punishments. But I think it just escalates MUCH quicker.

The players that escalated to instant perma-ban status weren't "reformed" and Riot deems them too toxic for the community despite working off bans and whatnot. So ... just don't be toxic every game.

I just mute people that begin to flame me now so I don't suddenly go all out and get reported. I am earning keys and hextech chests.. So i guess I reformed now

I believe the 3 months per tier is a rough estimate that assumes regular play with consistant good behavior. Basically, dropping out of LoL for 3 months doesn't mean you'll come back to find your account in better standing. You have to prove you've learned.

6 months. or maybe 3 months. in either case, you're longer than both so you're fine
