WHY DO NOT RIOT COMPANY TRY TO PROSECUTE THOSE BOOSTING WEBSITE?

In Riot policy, you said, it is forbidden to have someone else who have better skill to play for another people for financial benefit, in other word, boosting business.

But it is tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo... (1 billion o omitted) easy to get boosted from those boosting website. Just google league of legends boost, and then tons of boosting website will show up, AWFULLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!![zombie-brand-facepalm]

I met a diamond player, three times . He was playing adc, and three game, he had less than 30 cs after 10mins. It is not possible for a true diamond player. And even unimaginable. HE WAS SOLO KILLED BY SUP MANY TIME( OPPONENT SUP DOES NOT HAVE TOO MUCH ADVANTAGE).

I always hear that riot says they want to help players have a better game-environment. HOWEVER, I COULD NOT SEE ANY EFFORT THAT THEY HAVE PROVIDED.

Everyone has bad game for real, sometimes, people get drunk, sometimes people have bad mood, sometimes people have a lot of stress. So people sometimes play bad, that is forgivable.

But that those guy who buy boosting and keep playing game and destroy other's game-effort is unforgivable.

I HOPE RIOT CAN KEEP THEIR WORD, TRY TO GIVE A MUCH BETTER GAME-ENVIRONMENT BACK TO US. BY NOT ONLY BANNING ACCOUNT , BUT DEAL WITH THOSE WEBSITE WHO UNSCRUPULOUSLY HELPS BOOSTING BUSINESS GROW -UP. that is all, i hope NO MORE BOOSTING EXISTS IN THE LEAGUE.

You probably cannot say that guy is definitely a boosted account ,just like you said everyone has a bad time, he could just in a really bad situation. And it seems riot has no right to charge those sites, for real reason bro.

Actually, you do not have to be "breaking the law" to sue someone civilly. You simply have to be able to establish that someone is damaging your company or brand by their actions. So, it's pretty easy for Riot to prove that boosting accounts damages the integrity of the ranked ladder or makes for a poor player experience, the hard part is showing some type of correlation to lost revenue or damage to their reputation as a result of such actions.

So the OP's question isn't really about "prosecution" which refers to CRIMINAL actions but rather a simple CIVIL lawsuit which is filed (in this case) because of actual monetary damages sustained by actions deemed willful and malicious. Technically speaking, Riot could file litigation against authors of bot programs and cheating websites as well... however, the amount of resources spent to shut one platform down when more would simply spring up is probably not something they want to do.

Remember when record companies used to sue individuals that downloaded music? Or motion picture production companies going after the most egregious downloaders of pirated movies? They still do it, but only in extremely rare circumstances because the costs outweigh the benefits, there's really no stopping piracy anyway and even the ones they do file suit against typically have no money for damages... it's the old adage, you can't get blood from a turnip.

Legal costs get pretty costly, when all it takes is a cheap website to set up to make a new one. Oh, and have it based overseas in a country that gives 0 fucks about US laws, making them effectively impossible to sue.

Most boosting sites are out of US jurisdiction, that's why.
