How long until the server can determine whether or not a dc/afk is intentional?

I'm honestly just complaining here, lol, there was a storm the other day in Virginia and the power got clicked out for a minute, it came back but the game was over and now i wait 10 minutes for a queue, whack.

It can't tell, that's why there isn't a difference in punishments.

When Riot Games becomes as invasive as the NSA they'll be able to tell if it's intentional or not.

I'm not joking, that's what it would take to know the difference between you intentionally leaving by pulling the plug on your computer or if it was a storm that knocked out the power.

Well I know in my case I had my first afk due to family emergency. I wasn't even able to say what happened I just had to up and leave 14 minutes into a game. Thankfully I kept my enemy behind enough that my team was still able to win the ensuing 4v5. But still things like this happen in a game that takes on average 30 minutes to play with no pause button. LOL requires a lot of time and sometimes weather, emergencies, or just not paying the bills happens.

If you receive a punishment for hitting Alt-F4, people will just stop hitting F4. If you DON'T receive a punishment if your computer loses power, people will just start unplugging their computer when they want to leave a game.

probably never.

You can yank the ethernet cable and it'll show that you've lost connection.

BTW, buy a back up power pack. it's great for the occasional power flicks.
