Yeah boys i need some help understanding this

tl;dr is i got 10 game chat restriction and i don't understand why.

Story is that i was jg in a game as lee sin, and my team did the classic, 'jg's fault' after feeding and expecting me to gank their fed laner. They ended up all ganging up on me and basically bullying me, while still asking for ganks, as if i was going to gank them after they do that lol. Then the garen afked and they actually continued to blame me. The worst part is that the support got really angry at me for 'stealing' his lee support, which come on man that's a troll pick, and then when ever something went wrong it was cause i picked his lee. I went pretty alright in this game, and i don't think i was rude or anything, I don't think i deserved any punishment especially because most of what i said was to defend myself from their bullying and constant commentating of my game play. I said report garen as well because at that point in the game he was just spam pinging me and bullying me. Keep in mind it was only one game that got flagged.

Honestly after reading it a second time i can't believe that i got any kind of punishment for this. I reported them as well, so if i got a 10 game chat restriction for practically nothing then they'll get perm banned for what they did. Keep in mind that "Other players judged your comms to be far below the standards of the League of Legends community." Yep, totally agree.

Besides calling for reports on your team mates? They also considering arguing with teammates as punishable as it stimulates negativity. Would you say this is the first conversation you had like this or there were potentially others like this that you may have been reported for? It is likely that the culmination of reports added up over time.

I understand that the game can seem very emotional and stress inducing. The best way to counteract this in the future is by remembering it's just a game meant to be fun and to focus on the fun aspects of it. If you sense any negativity from your team mates then mute them, don't engage in an argument. Time spent typing is time spent not playing, which can lead to a loss seeing how it only takes seconds to lose a team fight.

Let's have you understand the behavioral system a bit more. Think of it like a health bar (or tension meter) in music games. When you hit the note at an off beat, your tension meter increases. When you completely miss a note, the meter increases by alot. When you hit the note at perfect timings, it reduces the meter.

Riot's behavior system works the same way, as in we all have a toxicity meter attached to our accounts. When players are mildly toxic, it goes up a tad. When people use hate speech, it pretty much fills up the meter.

It is possible for playerA to get punished and playerB not to, even though playerB was waaayyyyy more toxic . Let's say playerA started the game with the toxicity meter at 95% and playerB's at 35%. Ingame, playerB said some pretty nasty shit and playerA responds with some shit as well. After the game, playerA gains 10% toxicity and playerB gains 50%. Now playerA is at 105% toxicity and gets punished, whereas playerB is at 85%, and not punished in that specific game, even though playerB was found to be 5x more toxic than playerA in that game.

Your specific chat is very mild in regards to severity. So this game probably contributed to 1-2% of your toxicity meter.

The reform card shows you 1-5 recent games as examples of unacceptable behavior, doesn't mean you were punished for 1 game alone. I challenge you to write to https://support.riotgames.com and ask them how any games were considered in your punishment. The answer would probably suprise you.

According to Riot, calling people feeders and trolls as well as asking for reports is a punishable offense. Although considering that a Rioter did it and was not punished, in fact people said they should get a promotion, I think this punishment is unfair.

I personally don't think your chat logs were deserving of punishment. Riot though, I'd bet they find something to punish you for. Probably calling for reports or arguing.
