So Riot support is called "zen desk"
Can anyone provide a Zen teaching that encourages censorship or punishment?
Can anyone provide a Zen teaching that encourages censorship or punishment?
Zendesk is the platform they use, it's got nothing to do with them. Also, I see the only posts you've made for the past year are about not punishing toxic behavior. If they didn't do it, it'd be much more common; if you don't like that they punish for it you can follow their simple rules of not being a jerk, or not play :3
Zendesk is a company that provides web support for a large number of games and programs.
lol.
it's a common app lots of companies use. Just be thankful they aren't 'crowdsourcing' like google or apple support
So here is what is going to happen:
I will be downvoted constantly.
No one will answer my question.
No one will even research Zen teachings.
Every single comment that says "bans are awesome" will be upvoted.
Most of the comments will focus in on bans and completely ignore censorship or any punishment that is not a ban.
Many comments will try to use my personal history to circumvent the actual subject.
EDIT: I foresee many people will not understand irony. At least, 5 comments will say "zendesk is just a name".
Judging the name of something is not very zen.
Honestly the name sounds fairly on point. Last I remember, note I'm not selling this as fact, "Zen" was about things being kept in balance. As in when something goes wrong in League, either a player acts douchey or somebody's server crashes, then Riot support is there to "restore the balance" and "maintain Zen".
Now yeah we could probably do with more encouraging people to act decently as opposed to punishing them for being jerks when it comes to dealing with player behavior, but still, I think I get the sentiment behind the name.
Time to post in a void!!!!!!
I'm sure it is just a coincidence this image is used by Riot. A coincidence that the avatar is wearing colors commonly associated with Buddhist monks. A coincidence that the avatar has a shaved head, just like a Buddhist monk. Just a coincidence that the avatar is a happy chubby person, which is commonly used to depict the Buddha.
Everyone is right. No religious themes anywhere. Just coincidences.
Maintain the zen of this community by getting out of it?
