Experienced players in Intro room

I started playing 2 days ago and I'm still learning the basics. In the Intro room of player v bot I get swamped by players of level 30+ - Isn't this where newbies can go and learn about the controls to use, the different champions and their skills/spells etc? Instead, there are players getting 250+ minion kills and 28/0/0 - where my stats are more like 30-60 minion kills and 4/4/8.

I'll be working on a champion and just as their health is almost gone, someone will just appear behind me and take the last strike - over and over again! How do I stop this happening?

I've reported the players but still, it just ruins trying to learn, and it makes me want to say screw it, the game isn't worth it when you have this type of jerk before you're even in battles.

Considering experienced players can stomp that hard in intermediate bots I have no idea why they'd bother with intro bots. I wouldn't mind seeing it 'roped off' for the under-level-15 sect.

It can be very annoying. My friends lost interest in trying to learn the game due to the amount of people who are allowed to disrupt low level games. Unfortunately "smurfing" is given a huge thumbs up by this games community.

I'm level 30 but the only time I've ever gone into the intro bots is so I can help someone I got into the game understand it a little better. I don't get why some players go into intro bots solo. Sure I'll do intermediate bots to try out a champion or get use to their combos (Like Riven for example). But intro bots seems... Ridiculous.

This is truly upsetting to hear that other 30s are ruining intro bot games. I'd prefer it if we didn't have to restrict 30s from playing with you guys since I like to jump in as Soraka, Sona, or Alistar and help whoever seems to be having the hardest time playing have a fun match. If its really turning into a problem though, I'd sooner see us 30s gated out than have any more ruined matches.

hi OP, I'd just like to say I'm one of those lvl 30 players that you sometimes see. I've talked with other players and this is the common reason many of them will do an intro game: a quick win for the First Win of the Day bonus. There are some days I don't even have 20 minutes to spare for a game, so I'll pop in and do a quick win. I generally take a solo lane or jungle so that I don't impede other players' lanes/learning. I generally just push my lane to win, or sometimes stall if another player asks me to.

I wish other players would be more respectful towards you :(

I'm sorry, but that's not against the rules. League is a team game. A lot of the time your teammates are going to do better than you and take the last hits. I know you're trying to learn, but that's a part of League that you can't avoid no matter how good you are.

Bots are supposed to be pretty fun and easy, try to relax and enjoy the ride.

I play bot games because they're fun and sometimes you just want to kill everything as fast as you can. But this shouldn't be happening in the intro bot games. That's stupid

You, my friend have encountered the oh-so-common, the oh-so-slimy low-level smurf. Smurfing is a big problem in this community, especially for players like yourself. Hell, it's problem for bronzies like myself, who get people from diamond tier with accounts that are in bronze just because they're bored and want to stomp some noobs.

They really hurt the community, because, as I've said before, you can't learn how to play this game if you just get your face kicked in. There are some things you can learn from these players, but a lot of players like yourself just get confused because they're doing advanced shit that you don't even know exists. They're probably using flash, where you described; it's the bread-and-butter summoner spells of the higher elo. Everyone takes flash, but takes some getting used to. To a new player that doesn't know all of the summoner spells it's probably confusing at first.

Honestly, I've been thinking that smurfing should be a reportable offense, but according to Riot it's pretty much impossible to enforce, and logically, they should win; they're better than you. According to riot, that's pretty much all that matters.

Well, my advice to you would be to check out reddit.com/r/summonerschool It's a place for players to learn and hopefully you can meet someone who can play with you and teach you the ropes.

Well, here is some news for you:

  1. By reporting those people you are lowering the weight your reports have on the system - that's because you're consistently reporting people who aren't breaking the rules or doing anything reportable.

  2. "Taking kills" isn't a thing. Only bad players think it is.

  3. You can start another match, queue with a full group, or make a custom game.

  4. These players aren't hurting your learning - fighting bots doesn't really teach you anything other than how your champion's abilities work, and they aren't stopping you from doing that.

RamboDash154/2/2016, 2:13:22 AM2 votes

I would suggest making a custom game against a bot, just it and you. That way you can learn the full controls without someone taking all your kills, you can learn to farm and also learn some champions. It may not be the best way but it won't ave dickheads in it.

Intro bots, should have a level cap of level 15, then normal bots should be level 25, then when you hit 30, you can do hard/nightmare bots.

You're playing robots.. get over it

I I recall correctly, players past lvl 10 get no IP or XP from intro bot games. So they have no real incentive to play them. Of course, Riot could disable high-lvl players from joining those games at all, but that would just force people to create more smurfs if they wanted to play the first game with a friend who they want to try league.

I just played the top lane in a beginner & a lvl 99 kept stealing all my kills. Pissed me off bad. This happens almost every game I play & I say screw this stupid ass game. I'm trying to learn how to play & it's the same crap every game. So long !!!

Gimpy894/6/2016, 11:13:36 AM1 votes

you shouldn't report people for plating intro bots at level 30. That is terrible to do. Unless they are saying mean things to you in chat they are not doing anything wrong at all. Often they just want a quick win to get their daily IP bonus and they have the right to play bots to get it fast.

Also you should get the idea that stealing kills is bad out of your head as early as possible. Unless a kill is guaranteed anyone should be able to take it regardless of who did more damage (its a team game). If the kill is guaranteed the champion with the best scaling SHOULD KS it (usually the ADC). I love it when people come to my lane and kill my lane opponent. the only exception to this is a penta. never ks a penta.
