K so just got 14 day suspension even though I am 102920% positive I did NOT deserve it and am working on getting riot to check and look at the case more deeply.

System is a JOKE.

But I wonder and have wondered, will my account be forever on the brink of getting perma banned? I know there's steps in the punishment system-- 10 game chat ban, 25 game chat ban, 14 day suspension, then perma banned. But I wanna know once an account reaches that 3rd strike, will it forever have only 1 strike left? Or does it get renewed each season? For example, if I were getting punished for being toxic in something like early 2019, would I get perma banned (bc I had that 14 day suspension in the past) or go back to being 10 game chat banned ? Please help a sista!!!!! Even tho I pray that riot will be reasonable and decent and consider changing the black n white judgement of my recent chatlog.

No. A sufficient number of games played with good behavior can restore your account's good standing. We can't give an accurate number of exactly how many (as it is based partly on honor received, and partly on valid reports against you), but it can be done.

As for the ban you say you did not deserve, if you have your chat logs I'd be happy to offer my feedback, which might be able to help you avoid penalties in the future.

There is something about after X amount of time playing games without toxicity, you will drop a punishment tier.

Im not sure if its a set amount of time or if its relative to how many games you play, but remember that once your at a 14 day ban, you are on Very thin ice, try to avoid being toxic or mute if you need to, since anything that would be restriction/ban worthy will result in a perma (Someone can correct me if I'm wrong here, I've just seen people say this on other posts)

Punishment tiers will decay if you are playing non-toxic games. On average, it takes 3 months of gameplay to drop a punishment tier. It will be faster if you play slot of games and longer if you don't play a whole lot.

Btw, if you are getting punished, maybe you aren't as positive as you think.

If you want us to help you find out what is getting you punished, post your chat logs and we'll help you understand what went wrong.

You are addressing several issues that are open for questions.

Up here, you're positive you did not deserve it, which means you intend to dispute it or are trying to figure out if you deserved it, which justifies people asking for chat logs.

But I wonder and have wondered, will my account be forever on the brink of getting perma banned? I know there's steps in the punishment system-- 10 game chat ban, 25 game chat ban, 14 day suspension, then perma banned. Riot has said that you can go down the escalation path if you behave well. So based on what Tantram has said in the past, it takes about 3 months for the average player who got a 14 day punishment, to get back into good standing. This means that once you're back in good standing, your next punishment won't be a permaban, however, it may be another 14 day punishment, it may be a 10 game chat restrictions, it may be a 25 game chat restriction. It really depends on how you act towards others in game and how severe the chat logs that are in your current reform card.

Now, what people get confused and hung up on is punishment vs no punishment in becoming honorable again.

Riot has a punishment threshold where if you're mildly toxic but not toxic enough to warrant a 10 game chat restriction, you are going to be held in dishonorable status longer. So just because you don't get punished, doesn't mean you are being honorable and getting back into good standing.
