The 'Leveling Bots' problem needs to stop

BeRitoMusolini·5/18/2018, 1:12:44 AM·2 votes·2,464 views

Riot persists in taking absolutely no action against accounts using bots for leveling up. Out of 10 ARAM games, for instance, 9 have at least one bot and 5 are 90% bots. No matter how many reports there are, nothing seems to change and Riot takes minimal to no action at all. Take blizzard's example and come up with a permanent ban punishment for people who use bots and you'll see how things shall change in a matter of days. Until then, the low lvl experience of this game will be trashy and completely inappropriate for a game that calls itself an e-sport. Shame on you, Riot.

But they already permanently ban botted accounts.

They just do it in waves, not right after detection, so as to ensure that the people creating these bots can't use the detected game as a manner to reverse engineer Riot's detection systems.

I think it depends on when they have enough accounts flagged to obscure their detection methods.

They do ban these accounts. Probably by the hundreds to thousands every patch.

botted accounts are just a symptom of not being able to buy new level 30s. although, because the bots are bad, it does hurt games so I understand the issue. however, if someone else were to level up an account for you and he was a human actually trying in games, I don't see the issue. why should an experienced player have to go through all this again?
