Foreign languages in reports should be weighted

Literally noone uses foreign languages in a league match to communicate with their teammates in a meaningful way. The ONLY time people speak another language is to denigrate others. When they want to actually communicate with the team they speak ENGLISH. Funny how these people all seem to know english, but when you mess up and are mad at you, they ONLY speak chinese or spanish? Im getting sick of people sliding by calling everyone "sha bi" or telling everyone "cao ni ma". When the people who speak foreign languages group, they use SKYPE or CURSE to TALK to one another. They dont spend the time to type it out. Does the algorithm riot uses to detect toxic behavior even account for other languages slurs? Reports for offensive language in a language not native to the server should be weighted more heavily.

Once the United States affirms an official language, maybe that's something that can be considered, but then again, most likely not.

If you don't want to be exposed to other people's languages, that's your prerogative. You can mute them. Conversely, if people don't want to see any of your ignorance within in-game chat, they can mute you as well. There's a freedom to using the mute functionality, and it's best to utilize it rather than expect individuals to be able to conform to cultural norms that are appropriate to you, but aren't necessarily expected of other individuals.

North America happens to consist of three different countries; of which, we speak hundreds of languages, and there is no official American language or a North American language. Privilege is a funny thing. The people around you speak English, and you become accustomed to expecting it of everyone in all of your interactions. This is a falsity, and you should respect diversity and inclusiveness.

"Reports for offensive language in a language not native to the server should be weighted more heavily." Hahaha what? Why? Chances are you dont even understand what he said....it's worse if it's english because you understand it.

The server name is not an indication of the acceptable language, but the server location.

That's it.

People duo'ing also type in foreign languages, it's the same as 2 players using voice chat, only they know what goes on between em. Generalizing that is pretty inaccurate. Just cus u can't mute and assume the worst and have been called something 1 time doesn't mean it always happens. If you think that, prove it by translating every line :) And if you can't understand all the slurs in all the languages, thus offended only if you check the meaning (why do that in the first place, it's like you're looking for a fight), why would any system have such a huge check and filter? I can't even imagine the size of that list, and someone constantly updating it with w/e is a hip way to offend someone TODAY. Come to think of it, imagine them cursing in English around a filter like saying 'you fudger badger' instead of 'you mother fucker' or smth. Wouldn't that be worse because you KNOW 100% they're toxic and you would be tempted to reply, perpetuating toxicity I guess, when you should really mute?

On a side note, your title is not the clearest, I thought you were referring to reports containing comments in a diff language.

You can report them if you think they're inuslting you, and the system will run a check on the language, I'm sure.

i agree that insults made in foreign languages should be more weighted, but for a different reason. not everyone understands what they are saying enough to report them

I tend to agree.

My native language is spanish but you will never see me speak in spanish with anyone while playing, even if I'm hanging out with other native spanish speakers.... according to Riot, communication is one of the most important things about League of Legends; You cannot communicate with trolls that refuse to speak english.

If I were in charge of the draconian system, I would permaban those that refused to speak english on the NA server.
