Can we just not have Honor at all?

Positive reinforcement can be an effective tool at encouraging behavior that should be seen, but in the case of following the Summoner's Code, this should be taken as a given. It is expected of every player that they follow the rules. If they do not, their account will be suspended, simple as that. By introducing an arbitrary reward system that provides the same content we already had access to, the effort is to homogenize into competition to attract more players. League of Legends is the only game I am aware of that blatantly advertises a moral compass this flagrantly. It provides no gameplay advantage, only cosmetic rewards we could already obtain through other means.

It's nice to have, but by absolutely no means necessary.

It's just a way for Riot to try and encourage people to be less toxic with free stuff. I feel better to have honor five over someone on the PB trying to justify being toxic, whether it was in self defense, or how they should be unbanned for some reason or another.

It's not perfect, but nothing ever is.

We have it because it's nice to have.

You didn't argue for a reason that we should get rid of it though. So all you really said was that it was nice to have, but we should get rid of it for no reason.

And what is absolutely necessary? By your logic we should get rid of the hextech loot system. Not for any reason, it's really nice to have, but it's not absolutely necessary.

You should just stop.

Honor is not JUST to encourage good behavior. It is also a tool to reward neutral and positive players. Why bothered by it? It costs you nothing. Rito eats all the cost and they are not bothered by it.

You're enforcing better behavior with both punishments for bad behavior and rewards for not-bad behavior. I say not-bad because you can still be rewarded by this system when you're being either good or neutral. Because you can earn rewards with neutral behavior, I don't think you should consider this a "moral compass."

Previously, toxic players didn't have a reason to not be toxic outside of empathy or keeping their account. Now, there's a good reason.

They need too bring back honorable opponents, my enemies are usually nicer/more talkative than my allies
