Has anyone ever recovered from a 14 day ban?

I'm actually terrified of playing, I don't want to get permabanned. How do I recover from this?

Is it possible to go from a 14 day ban to a chat restriction (if I make a mistake after months of good behavior)?

I'm looking for actual help, not sarcastic "don't be toxic" comments... Hopefully someone that recovered can give their input.

It's absolutely possible, people do it all the time.

I know you don't want the 'don't be toxic' comments, but that's literally the only advice we can give you. You cannot reform and be toxic at the same time.

You don't have to be positive either though. Just don't write anything. Mute everyone at the start of the game (they'll still be able to see if you write something, mind you). If you really feel like saying something, keep it to 'GG', 'GJ', etc..

Not personally, but I know at least one or two people who have, and have seen multiple people on the forums who have. It takes several months of good behavior and fairly consistent playing to back away from that precipice, but it can definitely be done. It'll take longer than that to get all the way back down to the point where a violation would get you a chat restriction rather than another 14-day ban, but you can do it.

If no one ever reformed after a 14 day ban, Riot wouldn't include it as a punishment. The system is designed to reduce toxicity and not just punish it.

If you're worried that you simply won't be able to control your impulse to flame, then move the chat window offscreen and unbind the [enter] key so that you can't chat at all.

It is possible to drop back down the punishment tiers to a previous level, however it does take time and games. Mainly games because inactive time does not help. Usual advice is it take about 100 games of non toxic behavior to drop down.

While not an exact measuring tool, the amount of games to get from Honor 0 to Honor 2 would probably be enough to drop down at least 1 tier.

I had a friend who recovered from a 14-day ban twice. I believe he had one a couple of years ago then had another recently this year.

It's more than possible to recover from it. Just take that warning as if it's your last chance and very seriously if you care about the account that you got the warning from.

I’ve gotten a 14 ban a year ago and haven’t gotten any punishment since, it just takes a lot of self control and verbal rage rather than in game rage. Also you can spam ping someone and you won’t get banned :)

It's possible. Just get smarter and learn how the IFS works. Then you'll know where to draw the line.

It's actually easy.

Just don't be toxic.

Yes you can recover.

Don't flame teammates. Don't blame teammates. Don't obstruct the team from winning fights or the game by feeling like you need to talk

Replace everything you say with "good job team, nice effort, calm and steady, no need to flame, we will win together or we will lose together, be supportive."

Be supportive.

The worst I've gotten was a chat ban. Just use words that aren't trigger words.

Instead of "Stop feeding tard" say "Play under tower silly" or the like

It satisfied me without being overly toxic

Edit: forgot to say I got this ban in like 2014 and never got another one so far

I got a 14 day ban about a year and a half ago, and haven't had a punishment since

I've played about 2500 games since then and no more punishments

You can be "soft toxic" in this game, the same way you can soft int, and you'll not be punished. It's unfortunate for most players but it's the price riot pays for letting Tribunal die and not having a manual review system until after a permanent ban is issued

Stay away from triggers in chat like terminal illnesses, encouraging suicide and racist stuff and you'll probably be okay

Disclaimer: "Probably" at best, best thing is to not be toxic at all.

Create another lvl 30 account though tbh, you'll want another one anyway as a tilt account or to chill in ranked and not care as much

if you've got a serious problem that you have trouble managing when you're in-game, I'd suggest taking a break from league altogether for a little while, or playing it comparatively sparingly, look around and see what other games/things you could be spending some free time on. I think it'd help to give some perspective and a bit of a mental reset of sorts, while also giving you less opportunity to put your account at further risk.

On this very account I was 14 day suspended in July of 2018. It took about 6 months to get back to Honor 2. Now I am currently at Honor 2, checkpoint 3. I figure I might hit honor 3 in the next month or so.

It's doable.

What I learned is to not react anymore. When you feel that ball of anger when someone criticizes you or talks down to you when you die just mute them instantly. Don't even bother replying. Just mute them and focus on the next objective or next last hit.

Get Zen. Watch your emotions. Let them flow through you.

Use the force.

Ahri - I got banned for talking mad shit to a malphite, imo the 14 day ban gave me time to reflect and see that when my match is going to hell and absolutely no one is listening/going for objectives/unecessarily taking damage while harrassing or generally overextending often usually means someone started playing the game angry (most of the times its your teammates kek.) often times ill do the complete opposite of what I did with malphite, instead of giving the problems attention; ill give what IS working your attention. Its pretty common now to see people do mindblowing shit with their favorite champions sometimes all we need is a LITTLE help!

Which means no semi-existing for the rest of the match. Either you apply pressure or accept your fate.

If you keep your fingers off the keyboard, your account will recover over time (with games played) and you won't get permabanned. Keep your chat neutral or positive. Don't point out mistakes, don't "call out" people who are feeding, don't ask for reports, don't tell people what to do.

My account's gonna be coming back from a 14 day ban in 3 days.

I'm terrified of losing it because i have so many skins...

But here's what I'm planning. Look up the AutoHotKey script to disable your enter key. That way, you're physically incapable of typing to your teammates, so unless you run it down mid or something, there's no way you'll be banned for toxicity. Then, after a few months, maybe unbind the script and see how much you've improved.

Best of luck!

Kei1434/24/2019, 5:10:07 PM1 votes

Others have already giving you solutions on how to not type.

I'll offer you knowledge on how the system works. Once you learn how it works, can you change your behavior so you won't get punished.

If you wish, you can start by asking questions on how the system works or posting chatlogs and ask how you can improve your behavior.

I got a 14 day ban about 6 months ago. I'm finally at the last checkpoint to reaching honor level one again. I've got a ton of hextechs and no frags and honestly that in itself is enough incentive for me not to be toxic.

Besides the fact that it doesn't contribute to winning the game at all.

Good luck!
