Account Permanently Suspended for 3rd party programs or modifications? Never used before.

I have already submitted a support ticket under REQUEST #20604108

Story: I've been a player since Season 2 and have never had any issues. Today, when I was in the middle of a rank game, I suddenly received message that my League of Legends client will close and that my account __ was permanently suspended for the use of malicious 3rd party programs or modifications to your League of Legends client. I have never received a warning, suspension, or even a chat restriction before. I certainly have never used any illegal programs/hacks before and am willing to do anything prove it.

The only software that I use are:

  1. Curse Voice (for communicating with friends for rank games) and I do not believe that would have caused the ban.
  2. Lolreplay through website na.op.gg for watching friend's games when I am too lazy to log into the client myself.
  3. VPN which I'm not sure if allowed or not, but my work laptop uses a VPN to log in. Occasionally I will use my work laptop if I am too lazy to play on my personal computer. If this is the issue, please let me know what I can do to fix it.
  4. Razor Synapse (for my mouse) and Razor Game Booster (to disable antivirus and other CPU related programs that may slow down my computer whilst gaming)

Riot, if you see this, can you please tell me exactly I am being accused of? I believe this ban was done in mistake.

Heya Bui,

I've spent some time investigating your claims, and I believe I've identified a primary source of confusion:

Back towards the end of last season, you allowed another player to utilize your account for exactly 9 ranked games and one promotional series (sometimes referred to as boosting). During his brief tenure, he unfortunately employed the use of a fairly obvious scripting application, and while it may not seem like you're directly at fault, we ultimately hold an account responsible for the actions taken on it.

The damage here was significant. You were reported in just about every game you allowed him to play for you, and while we don't use player reports to determine guilt, they definitely paint a picture of the pain caused by scripting suites. There's never really a good reason to share your account, and those seeking additional security guidelines can level up here.

It's always the ones that spew the most BS that are guilty as hell, you even admit after the rioter smited you that you did infact script and you're asking for a lighter punishment after trying to bullshit your way through it? Rofl. I wouldn't be surprised if everyone in this thread complaining about the same ban was banned for the same reason across the board, Riot doesn't often make mistakes and just lol to the guy who goes " Why would I be idiot, I spent 700 euros on this acc "

Went over to the BOL forums today and seen a thread similar... " What was I caught for while scripting? I'm not even silver i'm that bad, I spent alot of euros 500+ "

It's ironic how many people on that BOL forums are complaining about the ban and blaming the script for being too obvious, nah it's just you're bad and even with scripts you can't climb and still get caught. Haahahahahahahaha

IF anyone from RIOT can give me a solid answer on what is going on here, I would greatly appreciate it. I have put a lot of time and money into this game. I will do anything to prove to you that I am not a hacker/scripter/whatever else you have think I use to have caused this ban.

I can show any and all game logs (from folder in my C drive) if that helps. I can even log into league on my work laptop (the one that uses a VPN and show you it is indeed the same ID/computer).

My account was banned also for the same reason. I have never used any 3rd party softwares. RIOT PLEASE HELP! ID #20606021

If you're using a VPN frequently, then not using one, it's going to show regular usage on 2 different IP addresses for your account. Which looks suspicious because that could lead to accusations of Elo Boosting, etc. Whether or not you are or aren't isn't really a matter of discussion since the IP logs are pretty cut and dry.

alot of 3rd party application perma bans all of sudden. my level 23 account got banned the other day for third party applications (it was only for playing with my new friend) still only played 1-3 games a week on it though. the closet thing to a third party app i have is razer synapse. unless me using the button on the side of my mouse for pushing 6 and 7 counts as third party.

Seems like a general email that they send out after they have banned us. And they dont give us the real reason to how the ban took place. I installed Overwolf about 3 months ago and now im banned. But acording to overwolf the lolwiz loader was approved and helped developed by riot games. So we getting banned because we running this software alongside Leauge Of Legends.

Im really not happy about this and seems like a load of people have been banned recently and think its to do with overwolf.

I really like the way riot can not be more clear on what we have done. Do they even see what the threat is or is it just something not right lets ban them. Money I have spent is gone now. But its ok riot dont ban your ip just the account so you can make a new one and speand more money. Well i wont be doing that. The people who hack and dont spend money or bot accouts for sale there still on the servers laughting.

This is a joke and people should not stand for it.

Same here, got banned for 3rd party software... I was using Overwolf replay system and AMD catalysm... I have 50% winrate in silver...

I have also suffered from this issue. I have been banned for using hacks, scripts or third party programs. But the issue is, I don't use anything like that. What's worse is that unlike most people, I don't even have skype, curse voice, or anything open or running when I play league. The most I will ever have open is Spotify if i need music. If they consider Spotify a hack or a third party program that modifies league, well then I don't even know what to say.

All you have to do is find the source of their program that they use, read those forums and read all the cry posts around this time(Late february 2016) And then see all the topics here. Pretty obvious, I've never used that bot program but I get a kick out of the ones that are like.. I spent $700 on this game, how did the script get caught? Is their anything we can do to get around security? Fucking idiots.

They don't know a thing about coding or hardware and run their tiny programs to execute obvious scripts. I like how people use programs that they don't even understand first of all, and then get banned for it. Beautiful.

Also, good way to compromise your security in general. Wouldn't be surprised if some of the DLL's that are being picked up with your Anti virus on(Reason why they need to shut it off to run it) have a backdoor built in. Win win for those developers.

I was perma banned for no reason too, but honestly riot wont be any help to you they will keep telling you the same thing. just need to bite the bullet and level up. its what ive been doing.

Just received same e-mail about account ban for malicious 3rd party software. Thing for me is, I haven't logged in for a little over a month. After getting the e-mail, I went and tried to log into the client just to check, took a bit for the client to update, but sure enough, banned. So got on the website, was able to log on, changed password, and also checked match history. Sure enough, someone started playing on my account a little over a week after I stopped playing. . .
