Why is Arguing considered toxic and chat restrictable?

I have recently been chat restricted due to stating my opinion in a match and it was viewed as toxicity. There was really strange reasons i have gotten 2 times from riot support on why I was chat restricted and that it was final. But this is what i received the second time from support from a guy going under the name "Tank". "The reasoning that your specialist gave in your ticket is the final justification for it; ultimately using chat to argue with players is the opposite of what it should be for" So arguing a point so that each side can understand the other person's view, is now chat restrict-able meaning it is against the summoner's code in some way. The first time I contacted support I received this message (from Yadon): "Looks like you were chat restricted for arguing, bossing others around, using all-chat to fight and complain, and harassing another player in post-game lobby among other negative behaviors." Arguing - again - mentioning my opinion on a situation and explaining it. Bossing others around - only time i said anything was "VLAD FUCKING PUSH" in a couple messages to stress the importance of what he needs to do. This isn't really "bossing around" as his laner (since he was mid) was top, we killed her, and the enemy jungle was also top with their top laner. The bot lane was in bot so the emphasis on what he needed to do was put in. Using all chat was to get more viewpoints around the situation. There was no complaining other than 1 mention that he is trolling - as a comment, not really a complaint since it's norms, i expect trolls. Harassing another player in post-game. That wasn't even done, post game the other players and I were being asked by the player to 1 v 1 and we merely told him "You're upset" and that "a 1 v 1 would be a waste of time". Also, any trash talking in the postgame chat was after all players other than the ones I was friends with (the enemy in the game - and my teammate). So in the pastebin link - from where I added a dashed line was where the toxic teammate who felt like trolling left.

Comments like "it hit me even tho u shoved your dick in it's mouth" is a joke about how his redbuff (when i leashed it) attacked me instead of hit as he q'd it and was inside the gromp. ANY QUESTIONS ON CONTEXT PLEASE ASK.

If this is what is against the summoner's code and is chat restrict-able, then we really need to work out some gimmicks in the system. This means every player on league of legends should receive a chat restriction because I know we all have opinions, and if ours are going to be treated like riot treats their women in their work environment, then we should just get a new summoner's code.

Last thing to mention - A riot supporter suggested I rip my enter key out since i asked for them to take 5 seconds of coding to make a bind option for chat. "On the topic of a key bind, there's not any current plans to implement one. However, if that's something you're invested in trying, I'd suggest popping the enter key entirely after muting your chat in game."

Better question is why are you arguing with someone during a game?

There's a difference between just arguing and being toxic and arguing

You typed over 400 words that game in game. If we use the average words per minute of 40, that's over 10 minutes of you typing instead of playing league of legends. Regardless of if you were toxic or not, it cannot be argued that you were not focusing on the game. Instead, you were bickering first and playing league second.

Whether or not I agree with you or your punishment, the punishment system is heavily flawwed and needs to be fixed.

if your on thin ice for a chat restriction this is definitely enough to push it over, arguing and egging someone on are different but at the end of the day the chat is for coordination and arguments are nothing more than chat spam that keep 2 players from playing the game to their fullest extent

The problem (which I think the support agent made very clear) is that you didn't just "state your opinion." You did it in a negative way that probably ticked someone off or annoyed someone to the point where they reported you.

There's a huge difference between saying something like "Vlad push mid" and "VLAD FUCKING PUSH" which you even pointed out in your ticket.

Exile SparroW: tired of your misunderstanding of the game Exile SparroW: he is just trolling Exile SparroW: and vlad thinks riven wins against irelia 100% of the time when he cant even win as vlad VS neeko Exile SparroW: did u just look at boxbox's mains? xd Exile SparroW: report me, not the inting trash talking vladamir Exile SparroW: or the actually inting twitch Exile SparroW: says the guy who legit goes damage yi Exile SparroW: imagine being so bad that even the enemy and your teammates hate u Exile SparroW: cowsep would be proud of your toxicity Exile SparroW: and how bad u are

There is way more in this chat log, but in general you're ragging on your teammates for what you consider under performing and speaking down to people. In the future, try to stay more positive and not blatantly insult your teammates, because even with context this is a clear case of toxicity.

The goal post for toxic/negative moves more every season. While preventing some bad behavior, the pendulum has swung so far that it's making the game less social and stifling all but the most basic and positive expression. There really isn't a point to have chat with such a cumbersome and overbering system. You could just have a list of numbered commands since that's what it devolved to.

With that said, it's not too unreasonable that you were punished there. I just wish that instead of Riot policing players, we could all learn to do so ourselves through the tools provided (such as muting and ignoring players). I only truly care about people who afk winnable games and intentionally try to lose games.

Because that shit ruins players experience and then players leave the game. So they ban the players that argue to save the rest of the playerbase. Remember, its a company operating under capitalism. Their playerbase is their profit.

You used trash, report, inting, dead, toxic, assassinate, die. You have to understand that bot doesn't understand any context, so if words are often used as insult, using it in other context may get you banned, also avoid using hardstuck and ranks in genaral, few fucks and shits there is ok IMO, I stopped using moron, stupid, idiot just to be sure. After 14 days I would avoid chat just to be sure. With this in mind you can be as toxic as you want if it makes you happy.

Ask yourself this simple question: if you got into an arguement with your parents do you think they will punish you for it?[fiora-cool]

Because that's the way it is. Nobody likes it, but we live in world where everyone are "offended" so that's how things goes around here.
