RIOT STOP PUNISHING PLAYERS FOR CRASHING

I'm sure more than one person one LoL each day crashes while in game. Most of of us do reconnect, and continue to play during the remainder of the match, only to find out in the end that we earned ourselves a Leaver Buster. How is that even fair? There is no where we can go to report this, unless Riot ACTUALLY detects that we had a problem and sends us a 'Something Went Wrong' mini questionnaire. It's simply not fair. I've tried many things and i still occasionally crash. Another thing. DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE LOW PRIORITY QUEUE TIMERS. going all the way to 20 minutes is one thing, but having to wait 20 minutes each time you receive a Leaver Buster for five games is utterly ridiculous. If we don't receive a ban for at least 5 or more days, the timer should be reduced. Who the hell wants to sit down and stare at a computer screen for twenty minutes straight waiting to play one blasted game?

I'll stop ranting now. I don't expect anyone to comment one this I just really want to express my feelings on this matter.

Thank you That as happen to me so many times it is frustrating when you try to explain to them and they basically say sucks for you and it discouraging to me and I honestly ask myself why I still play afterwards

If you have received the 20 minute Leaverbuster punishment, that means you have been leaving/disconnecting from a lot of games, as that is not the first punishment you get. While it does suck that you have a Leaverbuster punishment from crashing, it sucks even more for the other four players who are stuck playing a 4v5 due to you crashing.

Now, if all of these leaves/disconnects the lead to your punishment are due to crashing, why do you continue to queue up for matches? You may not be able to control when you crash, but what you can control is when you queue up for games. If you continue queuing up knowing full well that you have been having problems with crashing recently, you risk crashing and ruining the game for your team. Doing that is your fault, and that is why Leaverbuster punishments are still given out due to technical difficulties. It's up to you to be able to maintain a stable connection, and if you are unable to do so, then you should stop queuing up for matches until you can. If you need to test see if something has worked, do so in a custom game because Leaverbuster does not care about those. You shouldn't be queuing up for matchmade games without out finding a solution/knowing if a possible solution has worked or not.

I'm not all that good with tech stuff, so I won't be able to offer much, but Riot does have a Troubleshooting guide on their support page if you haven't checked that out already. If you have and you're still having problems, then your best bet would probably be to make a post in Help & Support or possibly make submit a support ticket.

As for reducing the wait time for the punishment, it is already possible to lower the timer. However, it's not based on how many days have passed since your last punishment. It's based on how many games you play without leaving, disconnecting, or otherwise being marked as AFK since your last punishment, and the number of games it takes to lower the wait time is a lot. The exact number is unknown, but when it happens, you will receive a message stating something along the lines of "hey, we've noticed that you have been leaving less games recently."

Why should other players be punished by having to play with you when you crash?

On the one hand, it shouldn't punish errors with the client.

On the other, it's hard to determine if a crash was willingly induced or if the game actually had an issue, and whether that issue is with the code of the game or some aspect of your hardware, in which case the fault is your own.

There are two sides to every argument, and unfortunately a hard stance against it can occasionally punish the edge cases instead of people deliberately attempting to abuse the system.

LoL does indeed crash a lot, but when it does I can usually rejoin easily. When someone is AFK/not in the game, they need to be punished regardless or way too many people would get away with it. There are some minor exceptions when LoL is having server issues and many games crash/ cannot be joined.
