Riot lost a long time player today

Riot, you've lost a long time player today because your lack of repercussions over player behaviors. We know the system is hardly operational and when you decide to impose penalties we see how they are handled through the TFblade situation and nunu/teemo support situations.

Four games played this morning and each game had an afk/int on my team.

  • One player left because he realized he had irl things to do after 7minutes.
  • The next player had 500ms ping the entire game.
  • The next player suffered a client issue and couldn't restart his client but could walk around the map and type in chat to us.
  • FInally I decided to queue up for a ranked and avoid the normal cesspool and I was greeted with a swift remake.

It's very likely even though these players should have been automatically detected and were reported....None will face any consequences.

At the moment - normals are not enjoyable to me. Almost every game is a quick defeat for either team and I don't get to enjoy my champions team playstyle or powerspikes because of afks/leavers on either team. It's not fun playing an adc into a 1v2 lane or playing top lane knowing your mid lane is afk.

I can avoid these issues in ranked but I might be in the mood for a more relaxed playstyle and learning a new champ into a OTP darius doesn't sound relaxing to me.

Okay, poor judgement in timing. Probably something scheduled outside their normal stuff. Shit happens

Internet can spontaneously act up. Match before that maybe they were fine. Not a Riot control thing. Shit happens.

Would you have preferred being stuck in a 4v5 or 5v4 (unclear which side had the issue)? Sure if your team wasn't the one at a disadvantage the free lp would be nice but oh well. Shit happens.

Except all of them will most likely be tagged by the Leaverbuster and have the mark on them for punishments/future punishments.

First player is legit no ban 2nd player no ban for lag 3rd not even his fault no ban It was a remake.

How are these your example for no punishments. There was nothjng bad here. And people do get punished, its just mist reports are complete nonsense. You used to see it a lot in tribunal. "Reported for flaming" literally only said gl and gg

Get over yourself, do you think everyone has perfect internet.? All the free time in the world? Is the league client perfect? People like to play league and quite a lot of the time just want to play casual, it just so happens that league created an overly competitive community that feels all parts of the game should be played like the pros where everyone is perfect. Normals are SUPPOSED to be casual. I don't want you in this game either, bye

Wow, this just screams "poor me" attention seeking. Especially considering those issues are something Riot isnt responsible for but (as someone who has dodged and left a game once or twice) WILL get flagged and punished just because you arent notified doesnt mean they aren't punished. Bye, im glad I won't have to deal with your self victimization in my own games.

Can't league make a ping checker? Checks ping and only match people depending on ping.

A alternate button combo instead of alt + f4. So like alt + f5 restarts all league things and automatically reconnects to the game.

I get punishment notice 80% of the time when I report so people do get punished with reports.

I also have gotten punished by LB everytime I afk for about 10+ minutew, so do they, it's an automated system.

Nobody gives a fuck about normals so stop yer whining. If you wanna tryhard play SoloQ, if you wanna relax and try new champs, play flex

This thread was a little discouraging. Please keep in mind that if players want to complain or vent, that should be appropriate to some degree here.

Per the Updated Player Behavior Guidelines:

Sometimes people will come to Player Behavior to say how they’re quitting. They often ask others to do the same. Similarly, they may ask for a boycott of purchasing Riot Points. Insulting people who decide to leave or telling them something along the lines of “good riddance” isn’t appropriate or necessary.

DUDE join the party, I've been flaming people more than ever here lately because it is jsut a totaly crap shoot of people playin this game. The behavior guidelines basically make it to where you cant even criticize people in the chat. Its total crap. These people want to be a sport but dont want the competitive spirit of the sport? when youre in a sport you butt heads sometimes and sometimes its not pretty.

Trust me youre better off without this game. Dont make another account. this game has done nothing but get worse and worse. The players dont care about playing the game. Everyone wants to troll and youre a jerk for calling them out. GG riot.

I knkw what you mean and I respect it but the fact is that even if the whole of EU and NA stop playing, riot is still gonna be ok just cause of the playerbase in china and korea.

I actually have to agree with him on this. Normals are no longer fun to play, unless of course you are trying out a new champ. I'll be real I find playing ARAM is almost more enjoyable then anything else cause any least everything moves faster. I also very rarely have a problem with people DC-ing or trolling.

The toxic nature of league players is almost as infamous as their broken unbalanced champion pool, but when you have over 50 champions, hundreds of items and thousands of combinations to those item sets you have to imagine it's not easy for riot to even attempt to make a balanced game.

As for them being free to play and saying we have no right to bitch is astronomically short sighted. Because the game is free to play we should hold riot to a different standard then we would a AAA gaming company? I dont think so.

At the end of the day though I would reccomend either grinding out until the day Riot opens their eyes, or go play WoW. At least Blizzard admins care.

You are probably not reporting them then. I got reported for a single swear word and banned for 14 days because of it...the banning system works 100%. It's just people that are to lazy to write an explanation/reason in the text block while they are reporting someone, that is the problem.

Haha, u wish.. its even worse in ranked. People often pick the champs they are not familiar with and havent played against the enemy champs ever n feed their ass off in ranked. Only if they just play safe, then the team could do anything. But those brain dead moron go on for chasing kills n die. Am sick and tired of the players jn silver elo solo queue.

You've been playing on this account since season 6,not a long time my guy,youre plat with negative wr,you play tf,champ who revolves around and is used to his max if hes being everywhere on the map and being proactive,your kda just doesnt show it,im not here to flame you my man,league is a game you either enjoy and dont care about anything so you have fun or you tryhard on ranked not understanding its just a video game that doesnt affect your real life i think at all i mean ofc you can have fun in ranked but if you tryhard youre caring too much imo,in conclusion chill out play with friends when youre able to,just for fun,stop caring so much and focus on your real life problems and work on yourself as much as you can,wish you the best,hope you find this game fun and enjoyable again ❤️(also you post this and play arams my guy,like...)

this is actually so mean towards the new players reading including myself. why do lot of experienced players insult players that are new to this game and still trying to learn all the rules of LoL? This is not an easy game to understand. There are so many rules for each segment of the game, champs, laning, all the roles. I'm playing this game for fun and relaxation where players like you are here to fight a 3rd world war (metaphorically speaking). Maybe "quick defeat" is not fun for you, but you weren't an experienced player at the beginning. I need to learn.

Recently i got a perma ban on my main acc for typing in chat because my teamates were trolling and inting me but instead i got banned not them this system is trash the client crashed in the middle of the game like 3 times but riot is jerking off and doesnt listen even from the pros like moe who compains everyday and they do nothing and when i confronted one of the about how inters and feeders and afks dont get banned because they dont type in chat and if u tupe only one bad word u get banned
