A player threat to kill other player's family over a support pick

And i saw that happening right now on my last match. Can't we have a reporting option called: "Virtual crime" or other name to this kind of thing? This is so absurdly serious that i don't feel that our actual options of reporting have the right flag to show how unrealistic this is.

Would you think a new flag to extreme heavy stuff could help in some way? Maybe after reporting with this special flag riot could send you an e-mail saying stuff like: "It's ok, this person can not hurt you or will have any effect on your life" or other important things to ease the damages of this kind of threat until they address the problem. It could have some help lines numbers too depending of what was said.

Even if you disagree, don't down vote. Just share your opinions as i am just trying to contribute to a server without fear and heavy harassment.

*OBS: i filled an entire ticket about what just happened.

Everyone seems to be saying it's not serious but tell that to teenage girls who have pedophiles show up at their house with a knife just because they stopped sending sexy pictures to him.

Real life, real dangerous shit has happened because of things people have said and/or done on the internet. While it's more likely that it's an empty threat from a teenager, you have to remember that these things may not be empty threats.

And that's why Riot, rightfully so, takes threats very seriously.

Its just kids threatening each others on the web nothing serious.

I understand what both sides of the discussion are saying. It definitely is cause for the person to be reported, and there are tags in place for it. Harassment seems the best fit. However, they are empty threats if only for the fact that without extreme measures or knowing each other in person, the task can not be accomplished. It is however misguided to call it a mere "joke" because every individual's inner workings is very different, and for every coward puffing themselves up behind a computer screen, you have the aggressive types that could cause harm.

There's nothing to "fear" when some bratty, shitty 15-year olds make death threats like that. They can't realistically do any physical bodily harm to someone. The best thing to do is to just screen capture it and send a support ticket so the asshole gets permabanned. Acknowledging their actions only goes to legitimize them and makes the troll think that they've won or are somehow affecting you negatively. These kinds of people are petty, insignificant filth who are mentally disturbed. We rise above people like that, not lower ourselves to them and engage in conversation with them.

I feel you man, it's annoying I had a support tell me they were going to come to my house and kill my whole family because I didn't do dragon when he said to. Like come on Riot there's a reason a ton of people have stopped playing, watching, and supporting this game. Muting someone only fixes the problem for one person after the matter has already happened. That's literal assault by legal definition if the person on the receiving end in any way feels they are threatened.

i usually find this kind of thing funny when other people say it, its just one of those edgy jokes that are still funny.

Death threats are a serious matter and never should be taken lightly. As for 15 year olds not being able to harm someone well detention centers are full of people that at age 15 did in fact harm someone.
