See, the problem with the terminology "Sticking up for yourself" is that it's vague. What does it mean to stick up for yourself? The reality is, defending yourself in league is using the mute button. Once you've muted an aggressor, there is literally nothing they can do anymore. And after the game, you report them, and they get penalized. Flaming someone back is not defending yourself, it's simply that, flaming.

Prove it. Show us your chat logs.

And how would you know? How would you know, for an absolute fact, that your report will do absolutely nothing?

A report flags the game for review. If the reported player broke the rules, the IFS will apply a penalty - whether that's simply halting Honor progress or actually applying a punishment.

You're not guaranteed to get an Instant Feedback Message just from reporting a player - if I'm not mistaken, the pop-up will only appear if the match they were punished for was the one you reported them for.

Otherwise, there's a phrase; "If a tree falls in the forest with no one around to hear it, does it still make a sound?"

The answer is "yes".

You can stand up for yourself, depending on how you do it determines if you get punished or not
