I Just Won My First Solo/Duo Ranked Game!
... and I wish I could say I was happy.
I'm actually not happy. At all. I feel as bad as if I lost an ARAM match, and all my teammates were bots (ergo, I would have had no chance from the first minute of the match). Or as if I lost against beginner bots in an AI match! How would one even go about losing to beginner bots?
Ranked toxicity is a very real thing. All I want is to push forward and get better at the game. Maybe get into one of the lower brackets. Instead, I run across so many jerks that it's almost not worth playing ranked, at all.
I've never once had a nice ranked team, except the time I played a 3v3 with my housemates as my teammates. It's as if everyone up in ranked has a big stick of entitlement wedged up their butt. If you don't have the sprint/exhaust combo (or whatever), you're a troll and the game is doomed (DOOMED I TELL YOU) from the start. Same with item sets. It's a real drag.
Maybe I just don't like being micromanaged and told how to play a game I've been playing for a year+. Maybe I don't like jerks assuming they can control teammates.
What I'm saying is: Ranked toxicity is a problem. It needs to stop. It's a game and it should be fun. Don't micromanage or harass your teammates.
You know the annoying Yasuo players? You probably do. For some reason, annoying players and Yasuo go hand in hand*. Well. Playing ranked is like playing with and against a bunch of Yasuo players.
***disclaimer: not every Yasuo player is a jerk. Both my housemates play Yasuo... only one of them is a jerk. ** [slayer-jinx-wink]
(Post script: I'm actually fine with tips, tricks, hints, and requests. I'm not okay with being flat out told what to do.)
